Things that personally remind you it's not all bad

Gotta bring back some positivity to grease those gears:
  • Seeing a new animal you've never seen in the wild before.
  • Getting a really crisp photo of a bird you've been looking for for a while.
  • That first sit down after cleaning your home where you just feel good inside.
  • The first hug from the woman you love after a big day at work.
It's just makes life all that much sweeter.

Cloudwatching, listening to/making music, going on bicycle rides, and fixing/modifying said bike. It's a special feeling to just roam around cities, woods, backroads and other landscapes with a backpack full of tools, spare parts, food and drinks, and sometimes be approached by people and animals.

Those random encounters made me realize that most of us truly do bleed red when we put aside the machinations of the few. I dunno, it's fun regardless.

- watching the birds in my yard get comfortable with the bird feeder and begin visiting regularly
- seeing the regulars at the feeder bring their babies to feed when they are ready
-realizing all the different critters that make my property their home begin to trust me and not run off while I'm out gardening/landscaping anymore
-seeing new growth on an unusually stubborn plant, being able to harvest produce I've grown myself from seeds, etc

God, developing an outside based hobby has been the best thing I've ever done for myself. Unironically, please go touch grass and get some sunlight on your face if you haven't recently.
Even if you live in a bug hive you can get some herbs or other plants for a windowsill. Seeing new growth and pruning is so satisfying.
