They're too fat to get off their ass and volunteer for a real cause. So complaining on Twitter about art and people consuming said art makes them feel like they're True And Honest heroes despite barely doing anything.

I don't think they actually hate these, and that's what makes them so angry. They love Harry Potter and are jealous because they've never created a cultural juggernaut like it, and that's why it hurts them so much that JK won't validate them and tell people that transphobes are literally Death Eaters.

Trannies have a very Sith mindset. They think in absolutes, and if you aren't ready to take a bullet for them, you simply aren't a real ally. JK went further than that and, after the response to her very measured essay, told them that she was sick of their retardation. In their minds, she's undesirable number one because they can't believe one of their former heroes wouldn't support them.
