Things you like about Chris

His massive tape collection in his (now old) room. I know I sound like a guy who was banned before, but I'd like to see the old commercials on those tapes.

There is nothing that I like about Chris as a person. That is to say he does not have a positive attribute. He is transcendentally fascinating, though. Working out his rationale, and understanding his idiotic defiance in the face of reality continues to be an enjoyable challenge even after years of following him.

Oh, come on, he poops himself. That's not a positive attribute per se, but it counts for something.

His fashion sense and his ability to stay cool under pressure.

At least he has a semi-decent taste in old cartoons.

No, The American Rabbit was his childhood hero. That movie is pure filth.

He's endlessly fascinating. He's a genuine one-of-a-kind. I can say for certain that there is no one in the world like him.

He hasn't done anything of late that makes me like him very much. I used to like his naiveté.

Chris doesn't care.
That's pretty punk rock.
Kind of OT, but Chris' long greasy hair would make one badass mohawk.

Pretty much this. Plus the fact that I generally know where he is, and thus I'll never have to meet him.

Guys, we can do this.

He loves his mother and tries to take care of her.

He has a thought process that continues to surprise us.

He still is in touch with his imagination.

He has a vast knowledge on all things Pokemon.

I used to like that he was trying to be creative and draw. Sure, he sucked at it, but it was the best he could do. But that's the old Chris, the current Chris is too lazy to even do that much.

I'm not even going to say I like the "entertainment" his antics have provided, it's the same level of entertainment I'd get from watching a really bad movie, a movie so bad that even though it's awful you keep watching because you can't believe how bad it is.

I'm trying to think of something I would like about Chris if I had to be around him, and although it's only taken you a few seconds to read his, I've been sitting here for minutes trying to think of something...

OK, I've wasted like 15 minutes here thinking about Chris, all I could come up with is that Chris likes at least 2 anime series that I like, so he's a fellow fan to some extent. That's the best I can offer.

There were a few times where Chris would take a film or anime recommendation and actually watch it and, seemingly, really give it a chance and try to like something about it. I remember from the Jackie emails (I think) Chris watched Pink Flamingos, Cannibal Holocaust, and End of Evangelion. All these were obviously things recommended to him in jest. However, in each case, he seemed to find something redeemable in theme, although each of the examples he would give were oddly warped by him. At the time, I thought it seemed like it made Chris out to be somewhat open-minded about art. However, in the end, it seems like Chris just tried to find something good in them because he wanted to make Jackie into his sweetheart. So, I guess that there is still nothing I really like.

Actually, I agree with this. I was the one who suggested Pink Flamingos, I'm a fan of John Waters. At the very least, he definitely put more effort into appreciating the recommended films than I would. I've had girls recommend movies to me and while I watched them, I definitely didn't talk about the movies or remember much about them unless she brought up the subject.

I was stunned he had anything positive to say about Pink Flamingos whatsoever. I like John Waters a lot and I expected a far more visceral reaction to Divine from Chris. I guess that was a pleasant surprise.

He makes me feel better about myself. My life has its ups and downs, but even at its worst, it's still not as bad as his.
