Things you regret learning about from the internet

The last shred of my innocence, however small it may have been, vanished when I was introduced to this.

Jin and his purple pony lover plushy or the fact he takes it out in public. Also the weirdo that put MLP toys in jars filled with his own sperm then kept it for months on end. :cryblood:

As much as I love the farms, I knew almost nothing about internet subcultures prior to my membership here.

Imagine:
  • No SJW's
  • No loveshy or incels
  • No Holden
  • No JB fetishists
  • No fluffy sadists
  • No Manosphere
  • No Tumblrisms
It was bliss (:_(

I knew about the Manosphere before ever joining this site, but the extent of how extreme those websites could get never crossed my mind as much until reading the Loveshy Therapy Center.

Tumblr was one of those things where I was not aware of just how many subcultures and loons thrive on the site. It really opened up my eyes.

I once thought about what would happen if I didn't know any of the depraved, horrifying things I now permanently know because of the Internet, and realized I'd probably just go find out about them all again. When you started out on rotten.com and stileproject way back when and more or less continued on the same path for years, there's little left that is shocking.

I suppose the worst is having to pretend you're shocked at things other people say irl when you're not really.

I regret happening upon those weird pixel art gifs of anime girls being tortured in various ways. Unlike finding out about something like inflation fetishists, that brought me no enjoyment.

Honestly? That we're being watched every second the cursor moves from the left to right as text is inputted. I had a more humble outlook before learning about the extent of the NSA's grasp.
