I remember spending hours learning and experimenting with HTML/CSS over the summer of 2007, just to turn my MySpace profile into an unusually well-formatted dumpster fire of memes, vaguely edgy political jokes about Bush, several dozen mid-2000s rock music stickers (not including Nickelback; this shit was somewhat tasteful), and numbered friends list drama. All set to a soundtrack by Hollywood Undead, including "The Emo Song".

It was a simpler time. A stupider time, yes, but a simpler one.
