Thinking about hosting a game for us farmers, but which game? - discuss games that we can play.

To be honest your steam should already not dox you. If it does, don't just make an alt, fix that.

Only if that dice rolling combat shit is fixed.
If you swing something in front of it and it just stands still, how the fuck do you miss?!

Otherwise, I like Morrowind just fine.

Anything goes?

Hearts of Iron IV just to see how a world run by Kiwis ends
Valheim was already mentioned (is that possible for huge groups?)
DayZ would also be fun
Or some FPS like Battlefield or perhaps more complex with Post Scriptum?

Could run some shitty MUD or MUCK.
A rape in kiwispace...

This needs a poll, so people can vote on both what they want to play and what they already own. I'm all for Rust or Ark, and a number of others depending.

List what servers they have you can run (or pick a few games that interest you to list) and one might become obvious.

Maybe something with a free client would be best if not enough people own the relevant games.

I have a server that I am doing nothing but running Plex on it, I was just curious if there was any interest from the forum in having a spot where we can play. I am running an unraid server and there are about 100 different games that have dedicated apps that make hosting a games server pretty easy. If you're interested drop a comment telling or DM.

Which game(s) should I look at hosting?
My vote goes for Sven Co-op because it can run on any coal-powered computer and similar games that can also host more than 8 people on it, mostly because i lost my big dick gaming pc so i'm running a shitty emergency style one where i can't even run SR2 without massive fps dips, minecraft is fine, i remembered to buy at least 8GB ram but damn i hate when it starts to rain.

or wurm online so @KonradCruise can play without some nigger botting everything into max level.

i would throw in evochron mercerany/legends because it has a EVE-Styled mp mode and can also run on wheelcart powered pc's too but X3/X4 is a better space game with the same fuckingly retarded style controls, plus boringass space sim isn't really a thing many kiwis can enjoy, it's gotta be either turd person action/piano keyboard rpg or first person action MP that people can easily pick up and go.

Wolfenstein ET, you say?
any game with local coop + goldberg's miraculous patch and you are fine, if i remember there is a version of his patch that does not require you to own a burner steam account and can type in a fake one but if my memory about it is the same then it's old and the networking protocol is shit so it's laggy as fuck.

for any kiwi wondering i picked that name at random, it ain't tied to anything that can dox me because i pick retarded names on sp games with a high frequency like any regular bored person, the numbers are my sector coordinates which is the station near the battleship you get when picking military start pilot

I haven't played that one in a long time.
Sven had a update lately that made map filesize bigger and transition somewhat smooth, although downloading map packs might be a issue for fellow kiwis due to that oldass valve "downloading assets screen".

Freelancer has my vote for boring ass multiplayer space sim. It's from 2003 and any potato PC can run it. Sven and ET are good choices too.

In six months perhaps, as per usual.

Wurm is very barebones unless you encourage PVP or some form of questing, even then it didn't attract many farmers.
Vintage story is pretty cool and indepth and I recommend it.
alternatively heavily modded minecraft run.
SS13 would be a lot of effort to setup and administrate for, It was essentially a second job for Josh. and he hated it. ARK I have fond memories of, but also soured by a breakup and have put lots of time into it.

Oh and this is obligatory, Host an EYE : Divine Cybermancy campaign.

V Rising could be really fun. The dev team is working super slow/barely releasing new content, but PvPvE is always a good time with random shitlords.
