How can entire societies function with sub-70 average IQ?
Okay, so my motivation for asking is because recently I found out that the average IQ of Somalia is like 67, and I recently got an IQ result from taking the AGCT of 115. Now, the blackpill comes in when I try and find out the Standard Deviation that puts me with a mean of 70 IQ? For context, this puts me at 84th percentile in a western context.
But, what about in Somalia? Well... Here's a snippet from ChatGPT:
An IQ of 115 is 3 standard deviations (SDs) above the mean of 70:
Now, here comes my theoretical copes for this information, which is admittedly a major blackpill imo.
IQ is can raise drastically in societies over time? The only reason I'm inclined to believe this is the case is because it wasn't too long ago that China was a completely destitute society of peasants that was completely buck-broken to the Colonialists, and I'm reaching a bit to say that they must've had an IQ around 80 at that time. You would have to say, yes IQ is mostly genetic, but improved living conditions and medical advancements over 100s of years can take that smaller portion of IQ that is environment-based and have an impact. How does any of the IQ theory of today support that? Keep in mind I think it's undeniable that races have different IQs, I just can't fathom the idea of an entire race of people being sub-70 IQ emotionally. Isn't that on the border of mental retardation? Idk, just some interesting thoughts for discussion.

An IQ of 115 is 3 standard deviations (SDs) above the mean of 70:
- A score of 115 is in approximately the 99.87th percentile relative to this population.
- This means only about 0.13% of people in this group score at or above 115.
- Exceptional Standing:
- Within this population, an IQ of 115 is considered highly exceptional.
- You would be among the top cognitive performers, easily grasping concepts and solving problems beyond the capabilities of most peers.
- Relative Performance:
- Tasks requiring abstraction, problem-solving, or strategic planning that are challenging for the average individual (IQ 70) might feel straightforward or intuitive to someone with an IQ of 115.
