So yeah I am mati, not at kiwi farms, or the fact chris is infact an undeniable sex weirdo who raped his mom.
I am mad that no one thought after bob died on either side of the family that leaving an old and increasingly vulnerable old woman with an autistic man child like Chris was a bad idea.
Now I am not saying Barbara is a saint, she was emotionally manipulative, she enabled Chris from the get go, heck half his problems where caused by her coddling, but the problem is even if Barbara was an insufferable cunt, the mere Chris ended up as a man-child should've clued in to anyone who was close to that family unit that it would've been a terrible idea to leave her in the care of Chris. Shit you didn't even need to wait until he literally raped his mom to go ahead and think maybe you should've opted to put barb into care, versus leaving her with her clearly unable son, the whole Synder incident should've been clue enough that letting Chris have custody and be primary care taker for his mom was a bad idea.

Now I am not saying people should physically care for their abusive parents or relatives hands on especially if its out of a place of obligation, versus a genuine want to help, but sending her to a retirement home would've at least ensured that she would not be subjected to rape by her own son. Its not hard to get poa ss and send her to a low end elderly home, the process especially for a dementia diagnosis is really easy, versus getting a conservatorship for a disabled person. And at the very least there would be some legal restitution and control over the environment barb ends up versus making her a ward of the state. Once she's a ward of the state you have zero ability to make sure she won't be subjected to further abuse in a state institution because they cover that shit up. The problem here is despite the fact Barbara was what I would consider a bitch, her family despite that could've done the bare minimum to ensure her safety, and this whole rape would've theoretically never happened. Thats what's making me mati, Chris is a delusional whackjob that after bobs death someone should've stepped in and made plans for barb and chris. By not doing that especially when so many red flags were waved is infuriatingly unacceptable, and down right neglectful. This could've been prevented but it wasn't because I am assuming possible not wanting to do it out of shame, and trust me I get that to an extent, but even in the olden days shameful family members were quietly scuttled off to institutions or care homes instead of left in the public to cause further shame. You didn't have to step in and take care of the family members physically, no you could've quietly shipped them off to homes, and barb would've never been rapped and your wouldn't have to deal with further public shame of incest and rape of a mother by her own son.

but it it isn't for family members, literally had control of my aunts finances and living situation for years until she decided to go into hospice, and the same for my mom, until she died; and that was for just kidney failure, and not dementia, and thats the problem its not randos on the internet doing shit, its her own family, and one of my aunts was as equally insufferable as barb. You don't need to be hands on with end of life or long term care, while granted I had poa over my mom and my two aunts when my grandmother died, at most in terms of hands on care was 2 people and the third was in a nursing home type set, paid for by disability, set up because the aunt was just insufferable and I was unqualified to deal with her, but even then I did my due diligence and kept her from harm and set up some quality of life. Not because I expect anything in return, simply it was the right thing to do, and if I was related to barb you'd bet your ass even if she was a bitch I'd have her quietly kept away some place safe, instead of leaving her with man child son.
