Чё, блять? Ты охуел, что ли? Moscow с foe рифмует. Вообще пиздец. Поехавший, нахуй.

The Russians are white, making them fair game for any politician to go after. If you tried to go after Communist China, the arguably more significant political and military threat, you'd have to deal with accusations of racism and the like.

Or in Australia's case, your largest trading partner having significant economic leverage over you. We have proof that PLA-directed hackers have targeted our defence industry and unis multiple times, but since publicly confirming it will "sour trade relations" the government has yet to publicly confront the PRC on it. People will cry racism too.

Russia kind of comes a cross as a declawed former superpower instead of a current grand chess player in the world. Their birth rate is below replacement level, meaning every single year they will have fewer and fewer combat age men. Sure, technology makes up for a lot of the numbers, but their military technology is dwarfed by USA, and their positioning is clamped by NATO countries. Their economy is weaker than a lot of the west, and they don't have the same power access as the middle east. As Russia is retracting, China is expanding (though one has to wonder if it is just a bubble that will eventually pop).

Well they did very well preventing anyone that wanted to support the ukraine when they invaded crimea. Their anti-aircraft was much to strong for any jets to attack (due to heavy anti-aircraft ship presence in the black sea) and they had super-fast troop movement possibilities nearby. Like the U.S., they keep their troops fighting, so they are incredibly experienced.
The reason people in europe are scared of russia is not only the media blowing up russias threat-level, also the negative reports about europs military (which was not really true).
Also nothing is more important for a country than having foes.
Just my (probably biased) 50 cents.

Except that the whole thing wasn't worth the hefty price Russian people had to pay, a dumb move all around.
All this flexing was for nothing.

From my pov it was for flexing / nothing. But the really beautifull spots there are now crowded with russian millionaires/billionaires who bought houses there. So they are probably happy with it.

There was some article critical of china where the writer said "sold up the yellow river" or something to that effect. Tons of blue checkmarks started accusing the writer of racism. I still wonder how many of them knew that the yellow river is basically the origin of chinese culture. Some probably saw the chance to cry racism even though they knew exactly what the guy was getting at.

I'm sorry, have you been asleep for the past few years? Did you not see the dossier claiming Russia hacked the 2016 election? The cries of Trump being a Russian agent?
Mueller? Mueller?

lol i thought you were going to talk about the libtarded media and the russian collusion, not this war-related shit
