This. If these are adult Lego fans, they probably build very complicated structures and objects, like Star Wars ships, historical buildings, realistic vehicles etc. An Adult Autistic Child with Sonichu crap wouldn't fit in very well.

He isn't a stickler for what he builds actually resembling what he intends them to be. And wouldn't someone who is serious about actual Lego building be more about creating objects like a sane person?

Also I can't see Chris sharing. It would end up like the classic pic where he is hogging all the Legos with the children looking on.

Well that's the thing. He can go anywhere he likes. Barb can't make him do anything. He is an adult and can do whatever he damn well pleases. He's just too cowardly to call his mother's bluff. Chris, your mom needs you to run her errands and take care of her. She isn't going to lock you out of the house. You know why? Because you have a key and she's too lazy to change the locks. She needs you even more than you need her. Show some independence and go live your life.

They probably took the Aerostar or Mitsubishi to DC assuming they were still running by then. And Barb is probably too sickly to drive these days, so CWC must be the only one who drives the Caddy.

And agreed that the Caddy wouldn't make many trips to Richmond, especially with CWC most likely putting 87-octane gas in it, the Chandler-grade neglect and the Northstar V8's lack of reliability.

It's a bit weird that there would be a group dedicated to something so specific (something that Chris is obsessed with, btw) relatively close to him.

But it seems legit. There will probably be kids around, and older weirdos as well. I wonder what they'll think of Chris.

I don't think that Barb gives a flying pickle about trolls. I do think that she fears that letting her son interact too much with the public might backfire and work against her own probation, and to a lesser extent his own.

As far as fitting in, no. Never. Chris is an outcast even among outcasts. An adult Lego group may well cater to more eccentric personalities, but Chris is a developmentally disabled cross-dressing child. He wouldn't fit in anywhere except an asylum.

I remember Chris went to some convention and a Sonic fan artist wrote about how shitty it was that he showed up. So yeah.

I ONLY got recognized for my Grades with a Star Pin, yet they had MORE FANCIER AWARDS for more important qualities. I should have been Highly Recognized for my ARTISTIC TALENTS I showed in my Many Art Classes for the Award Ceremonies before Graduation Day. I felt crestfallen greatly from not getting recognized for any of my Talents.
