I like their early stuff but I'd just love to go one fucking day without hearing "Back In Black" (or any of their other overplayed songs) somewhere. This opinion is also apparently taboo as shit because every time I say that, people act like I just used the word nigger.

Weird, I get a lot of people taking digs at my cred for calling Back in Black my favorite. (I like the turn-of-the-80s almost metal elements, and the production's enormous.)
"Oh, heh... your favorite's not from the Bon Scott era, eh?" As if any era of AC/DC (other than the Dave Evans era) is equivalent to some underground band nobody's ever heard of. blurgh.
Also anybody who hates AC/DC is a guaranteed midwit
Prefer the Bon Scott stuff but Back In Black is a good album. I think they kinda lost their way after that and focused mainly on getting singles good for radio play which isn't the worst tactic in the world during the 80's when that was important. All of their other 80's albums have 1-2 decent songs and the rest is unlistenable garbage. Good music for sex is how I'd describe most of their tunes.
Way better when they had Bon Scott imo, little bit more variety in their songs with him with songs like Riff Raff, Dog Eat Dog and Overdose (those ones I like, the video for Riff Raff still makes me laugh since Scott keeps having to get out of the way of Angus Young going nuts up and down the stage). Yes, they do repeat the same shit over and over, even under Bon Scott (listen to TNT and Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap back to back), but it's fine.
They’re ok. I won’t turn them off if they show up, but I don’t own any albums or ever go out of my way to listen to them. There’s tons of other bands from that era I enjoy more.
