I've been a big fan of hamilton for a while now and I was wondering the farms thoughts on it.

Opinions?

I think it's good, but very overplayed. The music is solid and the story is engaging and manages to feel epic and emotional and all that jazz. I think my main problem with it is that it's EVERYWHERE to the point where people act like it's some sort of godsend. Like I said, I do really like it. I just feel people need to calm down about it. It's no Les Mis.

After a decade of self-referencing "ain't singin' 'n' dancin' the silliest thing you ever done heard" musicals (Spamalot, [title of show], any given X!: The Musical, etc), it's refreshing to have something so earnest and unapologetic.

Fuck Hamilton! Fuck it! I fucking hate it, I hate the people who pay hundreds of dollars to see it, I hate that the cast is everywhere, I hate that annoying ex-theater students won't stop fucking talking to me about it, I hate seeing them referenced on the fucking news by bourgeois liberal cunts every fucking 10 minutes just FUCK HAMILTON TO FUCKING DEATH

Anyway yeah the music's okay I guess, by Broadway standards (low bar)

I got to see it in previews back in November 2015 by winning the lottery. Only paid $10 for a front row seat.

I thought it was thoroughly engaging, but the greatest thing ever? Nah, had more fun at The Book of Mormon.
