I find it really funny how the first iteration of Threads was a failed Snapchat clone that eventually got discontinued because they just implemented all its features in the main Instagram app, only for Meta to bring back the name years later for their failed Twitter competitor, which got eclipsed by Bluesky.

Also, lolcow @Gflashex / Gordon Paille is still active on Threads, here's some of his posts:

Does anyone have that meme where Mark Zuckerberg's holding up two Threads posts? I think it also said something along the lines of "oooooooooo you want to argue with these people so bad join my app to argue with them".
