Until exceptional individuals stop clicking them, he'll keep making them. His Sarkeesian videos always consistently draw big views and probably are the source of most of his ad revenue.

That's part of it for sure, but he brings her up in other videos without her face on them, he can't help himself, his dick wants what it wants.

Looking at views for the videos he made in the past year, his pseudoscience debunking videos often got more views that the Sarkeesian videos (granted, the Sarkeesian ones would definitely be easier for him to produce). Videos on the self-filling water bottle, solar roadways, hyperloop and EM drive all got more views than the last several videos where Anita was the primary focus (an exception being a video titled "Anita Sarkeesian WANTS women to manspread!" with a thumbnail of a girl with her legs spread, that got three time the views of any other Anita vid in that timeframe, lol).

Also, he frequently gets comments even from his own subscribers telling him to stop making videos about her, and he's even acknowledged this multiple times. A while back he was asking viewers what kind of videos they wanted him to make moving forward, and all the top comments were variations on "anything but Anita."

So, he really doesn't have an economic need to keep doing this, he could get views making videos featuring other subject matter. I do think it's a genuine fixation on his part. The fact that he constantly references her whenever he gets into an argument with anyone is further evidence of this.

Edit: Was too busy this morning to type out my full thoughts, but like someone said, the fact that he can't pronounce "Theresa" right is rather telling. He makes this point about how she couldn't win the general election with any kind of majority and why that makes her unfit to initiate Brexit or something, but I'm still not sure what his point is, tbh.

I really do like Thunderf00t when he's talking about science stuff, but shit like that is getting thinner and thinner on the ground as we go along.

I like how he thinks that Britain would be all happy and sunshine and shit even though the country was clearly split in half on the issue and neither side was any good at articulating why they should vote a particular way.

From what I've seen from the guy he just develops petty obsessions with particular Youtubers for stupid reasons, and then just obsesses on them and their every word and action trying to paint them in a bad light like a bratty HS girl would; I recall years ago before his fallout with the SJWs, he developed a grudge against some right-wing YTber named Lee Doren (HowTheWorld
Works) and started creating stupid videos about him.

In one video TF and his cronies accused him of using sockpuppet accounts to boost his subscriber count based on very flimsy evidence; HTWW responded and stated it was false and politely asked him to remove the video, then Thunderfart made another video about the guy accusing him of trying to "censor Youtube" just for asking that he remove his stupid video due to being full of false information.

And of course way back in the day, there was a bunch of drama between him and "VenomFangX", an idiotic Creationist Youtuber who is a lolcow, but is so non-relevant anymore that it wouldn't be worth making a thread on him; basically the two of them just went back and forth making stupid videos about each other full of grade-school level insults - except "VFX" was just an autistic kid who was financially supported by his parents, while TF is a grown man and "educated scientist" who apparently has nothing better to do with his time than slap fight with autistic creationist kids on the internet.

What's wrong with Thunderf00t exactly? Creationism is an issue that hinders scientific literacy, it's good he makes videos about it. He contributes unique information with his job, he picks apart dumb videos, and debunks pseudoscience, which is a real problem, and a huge source of wasted money. He is a very intelligent man, I've watched most of his videos and simply never saw him going "lol religious people are stoopid." Criticizing religion, and it certainly deserves to be criticized when it causes harm, doesn't make you a smarmy smug atheist. as long as it doesn't cross over into shitting on innocent people for no other reason than they're religious.

This guy does an excellent job at helping make science interesting, and explain why some bad ideas are bad. He sometimes sounds silly when he ventures outside his sphere of knowledge and talks about feminism, but he's not a lolcow. Someone who happens to be a very intelligent atheist who criticizes religion does not a lolcow make.

And in fairness, while I agree he does a good job taking apart bad young earth creationist arguments, he doesn't come across really as a "highly intelligent expert" on the subject of evolution, and more as just a guy who read a popsci book or a few Wikipedia articles on evolution and regurgitates it as rebutals to Young Earth Creationists... which isn't that hard to do anyway when you're trying to "debunk" people who think that dinosaurs rode on Noah's ark.

In fact I think his actual scientific job is in chemistry, not evolutionary biology.

I read it, I just disagree on your assessment of his character and think it's unfounded. I think his relentless criticism of dumb ideas is a great thing and he's done a lot of good educating people.

If he had just stuck to debunking bad Creationist arguments then no one here would've considered him exceptional; however from what I've seen in recent years he's made more of a living off of videos about Anita Sarkeesian and internet drama than he has about science-related stuff.

And while I don't think his videos which stick to debunking YEC are bad, I don't automatically look up to anyone with a STEM degree and a job in a science-related industry as "highly intelligent educator" simply because they can explain why talking snakes don't really exist. I think he's a fairly intelligent guy about the science stuff in his professional field (though obviously not very emotionally intelligent), but definitely not a "genuis" on the level of Einstein, no .

For that matter, when's the last time he's made a video about creationism? Has he even made a single creationism video ever since the "New Atheism" fad died down and it became trendier to mock SJWs than Bible thumpers?

To me, the above post is a good example of him being a lolcow - TF's spent at least a year or so making videos about Anita and pointing out on her hypocrisy, now apparently at a conference she breaks the rules by insulting people despite having spoken at the UN regarding "harassment" - which from what I can tell is the point that Sargon was trying to make.

However now TF has apparently developed some grudge against Sargon for god knows what reason, so TF backpeddles and sides with Anita just to make a jab at someone he dislikes.

Hell, it's what he's known for these days. My boyfriend was watching one of his recent science videos that showed up in his fb timeline and had no idea it was him until I pointed it out. He seriously thought that TF only made anti-SJW rants, mainly against Anita.

That view is completely missing the fact that Labour was planning to go through with Brexit anyway. The only parties who seriously opposed it, the Liberal Democrats and Scottish National Party, didn't do that well. Nick Clegg even said he lost his seat to Labour because he supported staying in the EU.
