Yeah, it's the second one, but let's go with the first. Actually, they didn't try to poison me. They offered me cheesecake, but it had bite-sized Snickers in it. They didn't know, and I didn't think to ask.

til that the Shrek soundtrack went platinum twice in the US after it's release. also that while John Cale's version (a cut up one) was used for the actual movie, the album version was done by Rufus Wainwright, whose version was supposed to be used. One of the directors at the time pulled some strings because she liked the Cale version so much and Cale's brought a deeper sound and more of a scottish/welsh vibe to it rather than the young Canadian-American's tenor voice.
