Yea, he linked it to that black guy who deradicalized klansmen, it was a well meaning point extremely poorly communicated and likely to get a tepid response even if expressed well.I think he was trying to make the point Jordan Peterson made a lot better that they were normal people who dont realise they are the bad guys and that is the reason why its so terrifiying that it happened.
I gotta say, every time Tim tells Ian "that's a bad analogy" I laugh my ass off. This is the guy who communicates points through half-baked analogies to Marvel movies or the same three or four extremely long shaggy dog stories he tells. Ian's points can be confusing, but when scratched, there is a logic there, and it's usually a *unique* perspective...Tim's analogies are pure trash, especially his off the cuff ones.
