Am I right to understand that it was Lydia's cat he was allegedly holding hostage?
Naw it was the chick from SCRN or w.e. And it was left with and was in Ian's custody. News articles even mentioned that fact, but somehow it was the machinations of one Dim Fool.

Yeah, we didn't grow up in Chicago's projects but I don't think Tim ever said we did. That's called a scarecrow fallacy when you exaggerate a claim to make the person sound like a liar.
Straw man fallacy, not scarecrow. I said he didn't grow up in the ghetto area but the middle class section. If it was lower middle class it still not the ghetto.

If that was their intention. Your statement in iteself is misleading as you make an accusation without proof. It's similar to what your big brother tim does which in itself is a form of deception.

Playing that the simplest option is the most likely:

Chris Pool has a good claim to the subverse trademark legally, emily and Rocco, realizing this impacts their ownership/pay structure, demand changes from Tim, he refuses. They try to find any way they can keep/increase their stake by investigating him, or are simply angry and feel they've wasted the past year for nothing. Perhaps they passed up other promising opportunities for scnr.

Tim feels like he put in all the work/accrual of fundraising based off his brand and is entitled to the ownership, and is getting screwed because he didn't properly dissociate from Chris legally, and stands to loose a substantial stake.

All in all, if this all blows up, and nothing comes of it content-wise, they really need to just return any remaining money to the backers. You didn't deliver anything close to what was sold.

Confirmed: Tim is not even playing

Apparently I had this draft just sitting around, the cat saga seems long over, but I guess it's still worth posting:

The whole cat thing is a weird story. It sounds like the kind of shit that occurs in a divorce. Definitely makes me wonder about his personal history with Molli. Between this and the re-incorporation papers for Subverse/SCNR, it also makes me wonder who's idea it was to cut out Tim's brother as well.

Having been in a messy lawsuit before, I can totally understand not wanting to be anywhere near the counterparty w/o lawyers present. Tim is uneducated not stupid. People are going to try whatever they can to get one up on a counterparty in a lolsuit, whether it's refusing to take someone their cat, or blow up the story of someone not wanting to bring you your cat as a catnapping.

All that said, just like the shit with his brother, or the "sup /b/" bald-posting, he's likely going to ignore the event and never talk about it until it's long in the past, if at all. It's unlikely to hurt him in the long run, his fanboys have that parasocial relationship and who the fuck in the mainstream media is going to give a fuck now that the cat is back with it's owner.

But not Timmy. He's a big boy, and anyone who calls him on his shit, like Adam, gets gone. Probably why he keeps Ian around. Dude clearly doesn't know wtf he is talking about and exists to get told he's wrong by Tim. Who gets really mad when Ian occasionally sticks to his guns and argues. You can tell this irritates Tim to no fucking end.
Ian Crossland is to Tim Pool what Alan Combs was to Sean Hannity, that rhetorical punching bag made to make the midwit look smart.

My observations about Tim Pool is that he's one of those rich kid stoners who spent the majority of their teens skateboarding and not caring about anything. And then decide this somehow makes them "man of the people" and he just HAS to show off his based centerist opinions of nuance and smarts. Not realise he's a milquetoast shitbag who can barely think for himself. Everytime he opens his mouth I can tell he reckons he's saying the right and most deep opinion on a subject.
My impressions is that he's one of those early bloomers who burned out early because public school is shit and he decided he already knew everything he needed to know. His mom tutored him before he went to school, so he went in already knowing what they were teaching. He probably coasted all the way to high school without applying himself and dropped out when his pre-school teaching ran out and the going got too rough for his "iconoclast" attitude. Add to that being "adjacent to the hood" giving him the idea of how to hustle, and make no mistake, dude knows how to hustle. It petty much fits his "smart but uneducated" 5-hours of video a day to say nothing of relevance.

I had a few friends in high school who followed this route: dropped out and got their GED as soon as they could because they thought they had it all figured out, end up floundering for a few years because the real world isn't as simple as they thought it was.

Tying it all back around, in my experience those types can be insufferable to work with. They see themselves as the reason for everyone's success and have a hard time sharing the spotlight. They push them selves so hard, why can't you? Lacking in empathy and full of ego, usually cloaked behind a personal story of humble beginnings.

One of those friends I had in HS who eventually landed on their feet tried getting me to work with them. I did one freelance gig, got paid shit for the time it took, and fucked off for pretty much all the reasons above. Quit my day job for your shit pittance? I think not. Almost makes me feel bad for some of the internet nobodies he's hiring for his commune.

You mean like when he did at least one video with her sitting on his messed up hotel bed during their trip to Sweden?

Listen, I like Tim Pool. I even think he's moderately intelligent. But he's not smarter nor more knowledgeable than the typical MIT student. Tim's hatred of college is sour grapes.

It applies to high school too.
