It's actually debatable as Tim shows the content he reads and technically it can be argued his fans don't need to go to the source to read it. Also, reading an article is not transformative in and of itself and he doesn't always add much more than agreement or disagreement before launching into a semi related tirade. He commentates on the material so it falls under Fair Use, if I'm not mistaken. He would be in trouble if he was only reading the articles.
Is that really much of accomplishment? The modern news industry is such a joke that being better than it doesn't mean much. Tim has also gotten increasingly more repetetive and absurd over time, clickbaiting his videos and then redirecting the topic of his videos back to the same handful of topics. He may not be the worst source out there, but if you watch his videos for any length of time you'll see how much they bleed together. I also don't think that any amount of improvement you get from his self described "milktoast fencesitter" commentary, can really outweigh the fact that he stole his brother's buisiness, though I suppose that's more subjective. The news may be trash but that doesn't make Tim's content good. You know, I thought I would check out Tim’s channel again and... I’m thinking he is better than listening only to the regular news. So many people in my family were repeating this fake news and have no idea how ridiculous it is. I can’t watch an entire video, he reads the story and then adds a tirade of what Tim believes, not watchable but he does have a place imo. https://youtu.be/fzVzG_6jsZE
Journalists and wannabe journalists don't qualify as people. How is it legal to read entire news articles to people everyday? theres no way this isnt copyright infringement on a massive scale.
Yes, this does seem to be his niche. Likely people want to listen to someone read the news while doing other things and hear an alternative opinion. Pretty lucrative too, at $150k a month. What is a careercow? Someone who supplies a product people want to pay a lot of money for with little input? What are we jerking off here? I’m thinking this cow is going dry.
I also thought "careercow" was people who make a living from being an exceptional sperg/autist. Tim has had exceptional moments, but he really doesn't let the sperg flag fly all that much. Methinks he's a bit wise to what a sped he could be if he slips up.
Like, seriously, how big was this thread before all the drama with his brother started? How much of it was just a side show to the YouTube "culture war" commentariat? How much of was just an excuse to spout Tim Pool-isms, like "it's complicated" or "as a founding member of Vice News..."?
Honestly, a lot of people just have a hate boner for what a whishy-washy fence sitter he is. It's complicated, ya know. Many people are just enjoying watching the slow slide from being the darling star of "new media" from his OWS days to being a guy yelling at his camera in his basement studio with no pants on, like Keith Olbermann (speaking of professional careercows).
Thirty-something years old and already on the road to a burnout has been. We might be talking about Tim like we do DSP in less than a decade. YouTube personalities have terrible shelf-life.

He complains all the fucking time about the media spreading panic but every time I get one of his videos recommended, it's always shit like:
"X and Y happened, is WORLD WAR 3 coming?"
Fuck this guy.
Tim tricked us into investing in it
You know he won't admit it. "It's complicated," as he would say.I wish he'd just admit to voting Trump in 2016
Tim is a rich person, idk why you think he hates rich people. he makes $150k per month according to people who know him.
Tim continues with his far leftist faggotry in this video. "Why does the RICH company get to get bailed out? I get it, we need people to have jobs but it still irks me."
It irks you because you hate the rich, Tim. I don't care if Harvard has billions of dollars. The professors who work there are not millionaires, and the administrative assistants certainly aren't, and their families and children need to eat just as much as mine do. This is the ONE thing the left SHOULD win on, which is empathy and kindness towards all people regardless of anything, and yet while they will insist that right wing people are racist and hate the poor, they OPENLY despise the rich. Which I guess shouldn't surprise me, because while they will insist over and over that poor people don't deserve to be poor and they could be getting punished for being down on their luck or because their grandparents couldn't buy a house so their parents couldn't buy a house so now they couldn't buy a house (systemic racism), they seemingly also have no problem saying that the rich person didn't earn their success, didn't work harder than anyone else, they just got lucky.
People like to joke that Tim is a conservative, but they need to remember that he absolutely refuses to let Occupy go even all this time later. Occupy is to Tim Pool what Gamergate was to Sargon, and there are some deep scars on both of these people from those glory days.
Tim, if you ever read this thread, just stop being jealous and angry at rich people, okay? Rich people did nothing wrong.
War is too expensive for China as it would destroy the natural resources they crave. It's better to buy up everything and make the world sick. They're better at capitalism than the United States.War with China is inevitable guys!
Seriously, as I've said before, "independent" media has every reason to lie to us and go chicken little for the same reason that corporate media does: clicks and cash. True, I have no reason to take the MSM seriously, but I don't have much reason to take Tim Pool and others seriously either.
Bernie also pretended to hate the rich while owning 3 houses, so critical self examination must not be a liberal strong suit.Tim is a rich person, idk why you think he hates rich people. he makes $150k per month according to people who know him.
