Power leveling here, but English is not my first language though I learned it early, and I'm from a poor family growing up as we were immigrants that didn't have much after the move. When I was trying to get scholarships, I would have gotten every single one if I was black or Hispanic but I wasn't and that was a requirement for the programs I was eligible for, so it's not like they don't have a large advantage in that regard.
