I can't stand when people do this but it seems like a common thing in Youtube. I think the first person I remember doing it is idubbbz. Even in videos that aren't serious it's just obnoxious, I don't want to listen to a grown man talking in a fake Linkara voice as if it's supposed to mean something to me. Why not just put up a little light up sign that says "be mad" like they used to do with applause if you're going to do that.

Really I'm starting to doubt a lot of his stories, maybe it's tinfoil hat but do we actually have extensive proof of his claims?

One other thing that really annoyed me was he said the talk is different because white kids get a sex talk and black kids get a cop talk. That's not really the case, "the talk" is usually referred to as the sex talk in media which is why some people refer to it, and this is the first time I'm hearing someone call the cop thing "the talk" but everyone I knew was told roughly the same thing when pulled over, there just wasn't a name for it.

I think that's just a retarded game people like him play. I remember reading Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell and the guy makes an argument that the reason inner city kids are good at basketball it because it's a game that's easy to pick up and play anywhere as opposed to hockey which requires a lot of gear and teams to play correctly, and that's fine. He then tries to expand it to the idea of education, because not everyone has access to a good education, and I thought alright, maybe he's still thinking to the days prior to the Internet where learning something new was far harder and you didn't have full videos of MIT/Harvard/etc courses or free code academy things.

Though this is where it got stupid, Gladwell then goes on to talk about Jewish lawyers. He writes about how they were discriminated against and how they weren't allowed to practice in regular law firms, so they had to take on the dirtier cases no one liked, but when international law became more prevalent the Jews ended up with a leg up as law became a brutal thing instead of inner circle handshakes between corporations, therefor the Jews were privileged to be discriminated against.

Fucker, you can't say discrimination is both a privilege and a detriment, because if you're applying that logic then the black kids who don't have access to the nice education are privileged because they have to be creative in how they find knowledge and it makes them better at gathering information and resources in comparison to white kids who just have it handed to them. Though that doesn't happen, so clearly it's not just resources/discrimination that's the issue, it's the fact that in the case of the Jews the Jews figured out a way to make it work for them and continued advancing, while the black kid shrugged his shoulders and gave up because retards like Malcolm Gladwell tell them it's hopeless.

Yeah. The only time I've ever experienced racism was when I tried entering a Korean bar in Seul and was kicked out because I was with the whitest people I knew with the exception of a Korean I was with and a Mexican who looks Phillipino.

I've seen blacks say that the talk is something they all receive with how to behave with police. When u bring up the Wendy's guy punching a cop or the Kenosha ignoring the cops and trying to kidnap kids the talk suddenly doesn't exist.

Every body knows when Jews make billions in Hollywood or as bankers it's because they are the most oppressed. And I swear I've seen a teacher make that point only to get reprimanded for denying the plight of blacks

From the way he speaks and acts, I think maybe he was just bullshitting back then and hustling as hard as that "hope not hate" guy was. He comes off as a complete race grifter, no better than Ibram X Kendi. While it's possible that the modern race grift has made him more insane, people who are actually rational and willing to listen to the other side don't just become like that overnight.

I agree with this take, I don't have any evidence to say it didn't happen, but the way he behaved and how sensitive he got it really makes me question things. Really what it could be is that it's a fish story, where maybe it happened once as a fluke and he embellished it to hundreds over time, or maybe it's like Bob Lazar, where there's some weird shit going on but the people who really take a deep dive into it realize how full of shit the person is. Kind of funny how all the people who debunk Lazar don't dig into his old interviews, but some body language panel compared his older interviews and newer ones and pointed out all the stuff that contradicts in the two stories as it becomes easier to fact check things over time.

What's interesting is that reading the study itself, it focuses on three channels of various political leanings: Timcast, Right Side Broadcast Network, and the Young Turks. And from the looks of it, a good portion is focused on Timcast because, when comparing to TYT and RSBN, he makes so much more money from the superchats.

the other night was the first time I gained any respect for Tim in a very long time. He did shockingly well in a debate that I'm sure he was 99% sure would just be a podcast where the guest validates all his beliefs. Having a major case of "don't meet your idols" happening right in front of you while you're streaming to tens of thousands of people must be a weird experience.
