I've heard both right wingers and left wingers make similar statements that Ariel made but they know how to play it off. I can't count how many times Elijah Schaeffer and his guests has made jokes about committing hate crimes on YT. Part of livestreaming is to be prepared to handle this kind of shit. I get deleting the live feed and starting a new one (just to be safe), but I don't get canceling the entire show then running out the room and slamming the door like a toddler. Reacting that poorly to what could be a rule violation brings more attention to it.

I do agree with what someone mentioned in the after show segment. If they're going to have edgy guests on they should probably delay the feed by at least five minutes. Tim can't act surprised if one of the grifters he invites on blurts out "nigger" someday and Lydia isn't able to censor it in enough time lol.

That video I downloaded was from a rumble domain. In the video, Tim says he has to pay Rumble for bandwidth on his videos. How does that work? I thought Rumble was free. Or is it so he can have Timcast branding on the URLs or something?

And I know that parallel economy has been mentioned before but that website instills very little confidence that you won't wake up one day with your money gone and the people vanished. Is he invested in it or something? Because he brings it up in reference to some drama with black comics dude.

The thing is people get banned all the time, look at Crowder or even people like Destiny or Keffals. They all find a way to spin up hype from their base and encourage others to subscribe to their thing when it happens, then they come back and it's usually better than before. Really if Crowder can outplay Tim, Tim should either use it rope Crowder in who has connections with, or go even further.

After all Tim has his site, what's the point of it if he's so terrified of getting banned. Fuck, why didn't he say "Ok, I'm cutting it here, this is clearly too spicy, we're taking it to our private site because this is too hot for TV/Youtube to see, sign up for the site if you want to see this shit you niggers!"

If anything the after show segment made me lose whatever respect I had for Rogan. According to Tim Rogan stopped doing live shows because it was too controversial despite taking a big payday from Spotify to be free of censorship. The only thing Rogan had going for him was the live aspect, so fuck him if he canned that bit to make it more scripted and fuck delays, have fun with your content.

Rumble keeps becoming more of a farce. I really thought Rumble had a chance but now I'd give Odysee a bigger shot before them with how things are going. As for bandwidth, I'm guessing it's not just for Tim posting videos there, he's probably hosting private videos for his website off Rumble so he's giving them some cash to do storage for his site as he doesn't have anyone capable of setting up a dedicated server for him and he probably can't run the necessary data infrastructure to his property for it in a cost effective way.

You can complain all day that you would prefer a different tactic, but sometimes you need to just accept what gets results.
 
Honestly I was a bit of a fence sitter when i was an unironic Tim watcher. I think him refusing to take a side on anything was what got me off that wagon. I think it was around 2019 when I realized there are some situations that have such an obvious good and bad side to me and it was infuriating me that he would just refuse to take a side. Granted, he somehow isn't the worst youtuber for this (im looking at your SFO)

This instance is really opening my eyes to how inconsistent he can be. He went off about how bussing illegal aliens into blue districts would accomplish nothing, and now we have blue mayors asking for military intervention because a couple thousand aliens are showing up in their sanctuary cities of millions.

One of the main reasons he simped for DeSantis for a month was because he thinks the left won't be able to use the same mud slinging machine on him that they did on Trump. He refuses to realize that ANYONE that the republicans put forth will be called every name under the sun and investigated to no end even while knowing that's been the left's main political tactic since the 1980s.

Most people probably have a fence sitter phase but eventually come to terms with the fact that politics is a game of mud flinging and being shitheads. If you fence sit or assume the other side is going to behave reasonably in politics you've already lost and are probably a cuck. Politics is just a shit thing.

Hell for all of the dumb shit Trump did, a lot of the shit the media claimed about him was made up. If Tim were not a lolcow, he could actually use his money and time to make a difference in his community by building a skate park for the public. Tim didn't need to blow a million dollars to build himself a room to skateboard in at his house if he wanted to skateboard just himself.

They block the public funding of walls, they block private funding of walls, they put spin on border patrols as "whipping the migrants", that gets proven as the lie it was but they threaten to punish the border patrols anyway, wait in Mexico got slapped down because "Mexico is too dangerous!", holding people until their court dates to figure out whether they qualify or get deported got slapped down because "Muh kids in cages"... What does he think is going to happen if border states pull in the national guard? That it's just going to go smoothly this time without some call that the federal government now needs to clamp down on rogue governors "mowing down poor, innocent women and children at the border"?

Kari Lake winning and activating the guard like he supports, along with wanting Texas to do it as well, would just lead to everyone instantly remembering warmongering queens of the past in an instant and her likeness plastered alongside them everywhere. Forcing DC to do it first at worst lets the border states have a defense against the knee-jerk reaction now that the seal has been broken, and at best gets more people to actually stand by the decision to do so now that they've experienced some of the same problems for themselves.

I know he wants to try and be some voice of reason, but his fence sitting idiocy is about as useful to the concept of centrism as sov-cits are to the concept of libertarianism.
