That's the sad part, there will probably be someone stupid enough to mortgage their house or take out tons of money from random places to try this. When it eventually fails Tim will not take responsibility and the poor mentally disabled man he grifted for hundreds of thousands will be left holding the bag.

Just like what happened with Jack Murphy.

I'd bet on the hotdog stand before the coffee shop. At least with a hotdog stand like that you can operate it for cheap as rent is probably nothing and the product your selling is cheap enough that you can sell it for a couple dollars. A hotdog shop is a far easier business than a coffee shop probably, just because it can be really cheap and filling in comparison to coffee shops that sell a drink for a big premium.

Yeah but you have super expensive grills for cooking dogs, meat costs, cold storage etc...
They're both big issues and I'd imagine meat goes bad faster than coffee.
End of the day people shouldn't really do either without proper research and god I really hope no one takes Tim up on this.

Cursory google search showed Subway was one of the cheaper franchises to open up. Ranging from $100K - $200K. While MikkyD's breaks a Million lol.

You don't necessarily need a grill, you can always boil them and hotdogs last for longer than most meats.

Keep in mind that the McDonald's estimates include a lot more equipment and real estate costs, something Tim does as well. Unless you're buying an existing location to have everything set up in any franchise you're probably going to pay 500k at least. But with every other franchise you'll have way more resources to make up for that than you would with Tim's Coffee Compound.

It really reeks of Tim's oblivious ego. Tim, do you think your audience is large enough or even condensed enough to be in one location to frequent a shop well enough to keep it in business?
If Tim wanted to do something he should be going out to actual coffee shops or small chains and trying to sell to them his coffee brand to carry and sell in their shop.
But his coffee is just repackaged crap with a label slapped on it.
 
He should have called his franchise The Roasted Beanie.

There's a huge reputational risk for franchisees also because of the Timcast. Every time Tim Ian opens his big mouth with some stoner drivel there's a non-zero chance of getting cancelled and every franchise getting dragged along with him.

Actually, that's a really important point. Tim has been involved in multiple lawsuits of his own making and has threatened many more. What happens if Tim fucks up and creates a lawsuit he loses hard than Balldo's lawyer buddy lost for Vic? I know franchises can break away from the mothership and become their own thing, but what about in the event where a court is involved and leans start going out or other things like that?
