I've spoken at length about the migrant boat that sunk recently with other people who's been making this retarded comparison, laying it at the feet of Europeans is extremely unfair.
They were being smuggled by assholes ignoring all safety measures, crowded on an overloaded boat on their way to enter a country illegally to become a burden on someone else's society. They were breaking laws. They gambled, for whatever reason, and they lost.
Where were Pakistani rescuers then, why don't they care about their people and why we somehow should? Especially Europe with all the problems migration has already caused, why should they actively work to further fuck themselves over?
At the very least some of these rich faggots were from the countries (and their allies) that went to search for them.

Every 30 or so feet you go in the ocean, the pressure increases by 1 atmosphere.

The pressure didn't even kill them, water drops pushed through small holes were like fucking bullets. They were shot, exploded and then crushed. You couldn't process how fucked you were before you were dead. The deep ocean is fucking worse than space. Far, far worse. You're probably also much easier to find since space is completely fucking empty. Obviously the biggest danger with space is getting there, as rockets tend to, you know, blow the fuck up.

The reality of the situation is that I don't feel bad for anyone that made a choice. There was always risk in this, and they went with the guy who cut corners. You get what you pay for, at the end of the day. I feel bad for the 19 year old.
