It just refers to the general benefits to individuals of the social networks they have. It reflects the general idea of reciprocity, that people expect their own social behavior to be rewarded in the future, therefore encouraging pro-social behavior and discouraging anti-social behavior.
In both the cases of Ronald McDonald and these fatties, though, it just means they're mad that people don't approve of their degenerate behaviors.

Exactly. Your average gym goer is there for general health and fitness, not to body build. And the bodybuilders are so focused on themselves they don't notice anyone else.
These stories about 'oh I was exercising so hard and then a bunch of skinny bitches came up behind me and started pointing and laughing because thin privuhludge' are horseshit.
More like Manatee #1 went to a free gym day once. A PT came up, offered some advice and health tips and Mantee #1 got all huffy and went home and ate a bucket of ice cream.

Has this transfat blogger been mentioned yet?
She seems like she could be a troll blog, but i dunno... It's too detailed and has been going on for too long for that.
Anyways, she's pretty mean to anyone who doesn't worship her transfatness and is very easy to anger, and says that if you are a thin person (which she is!) then that means you are a problematic evil cis shit lord who is ruining the world for transfat people. She also says that starving Africans are horrible cis shit lords because they choose thin culture over fat culture...
I would definitely take a look into this one of she hasn't been torn apart already.
Plus... She's pretty active.

The difference between children and fatties is that children have a tendency to live a really long time after their cancer is treated whereas fatties just get 5 years or so added to their misreable lives.
