Needless to say, it was TEH FATPHOBIA AND STRUCTURAL OPPRESSION that killed him, not looking like a Sontaran in a sumo suit.

I know the dude was obese and all, but good lord is that an unflattering still to pass around. He looks dazed and like he's doing that kind of burp where you just let it out by opening your lips just the littlest bit.

I don't know anything else about the guy. Wanting to stop fat kids from being bullied probably stemmed from his own childhood and not wanting other kids to go what he went through. He might have been a nice man who just wanted fat people to be treated better... and honestly, yeah, society is not very nice to fat people. But these groups also don't allow the people they want to help to develop better habits and live healthier, and that they can still love themselves even if they'll never be skinny, 'cause at least they'll be healthier and happier.

Then again I'm saying this on a board about gossip and cyberbullying, so this is probably the wrong platform to ask people to be more sympathetic to fat people.

Yeah but you've touched on the key point there by pointing out that his message might be "Be nice to people because you don't know what battles they're fighting," but it gets lost under the screaming tirade of "We should be allowed to be fat and society as a whole should just pay for us to be disgusting eating machines without judging us!" Bullshit the HAES movement pedals.
