If she was being treated like that for years she should have been collecting concrete evidence...like come on fam even most tumblr callouts have chatlogs

It's worse than that

She admits in the post that she not only tried to have a relationship with him for over 2 years after the incident, she had consensual sex with him after it.

It looks like Toboscus is the latest online personality to be the target of a rape drama here. Heads up, it's long.

It’s a pretty long screed, but there’s not very much in terms of SocJus dogwhistles, either in the post or on the rest of her tumblr. I've also heard at least some confirmation that Toby isn't a very nice person in general. I'm inclined to think this one may be true.

And here’s Toby’s mom defending him, while incidentally confirming several details as well.

I don't see Toby raping anyone; like this is probably some ex gf trying to fuck him over when fake evidence

How come people are still taking this woman without a grain of salt, especially considering that nothing happened to Sam Pepper and that she posted on Tumblr?

I don't believe these rape allegations for a couple reasons. When you're really raped, you don't spread that shit all over social media. You don't want anyone to know, much less the whole fucking world. Many don't even tell the police; or anyone, for their whole lives.

People who regret having normal sex, kinky sex, angry sex, any sex really with someone go to social media and say "rape" because they see how it gets results.

Do I think Toby Turner (Toboscus) cheated on that girl? Probably. I mean, it happens. But really, cheating on your girlfriend is just shady, not illegal. So because this girl wants something bad to happen to the guy that cheated on her, she's pulling this shit. Even when a rape allegation is fake, that libel goes a loooong way to fuck someone over. The worse part is that now this girl claimed rape, there's other women slowing "coming out of the woodwork" and saying Toby did unsavory things with them as well.

This is the biggest reason why I think she's lying. The reason I wouldn't definitively say she is, is because there's always the opportunity she's an idiot. There's always the possibility she honestly thought telling the police would be pointless because muh patriarchy would see to it that Tobuscus would never be prosecuted.

The biggest irony with this is how it mostly backfired since a lot of people have mostly called her out for being a liar. Even Max Landis's video on the subject mostly points out that she probably isn't telling the truth

Yet another person who turns to blogging about rape rather than contacting the authorities about it

She's doing this because the guy was a dick to her and she wants to try and ruin him as much as physically possible.

I agree she's almost certainly doing this because she's pissed at him for being a dick, but I'm going to say this:

I totally get why it's becoming increasingly common for women to blog about rape rather than report it.

First off, I just want to make it clear I'm talking about rape, actual rape where a person was sexually violated against their will. Not hate-fucking, not regret after consensual sex, not being looked at in a suggestive manner. Real, prosecute-able sex crimes.

The thing is, when a woman is raped there's a pretty heinous process to get justice.

If you're one of the few women who reports their rape within a short time of it happening you have to have a forensic gynecological examination. You have to strip naked, have your clothes taken away, and then let complete strangers examine every inch of you - inside and out - for evidence. You'll be probed and swabbed and photographed. In the aftermath of sexual assault rape kits are pretty traumatic.

Then you have to talk to the police, most likely for hours, and you will have to recount all the horrific details.
You might be talking to a cop who saw the way you were dressed, or heard that you were at a bar before hand or had smoked pot that day and throw judgement at you. You don't know if you'll be treated with empathy or if you'll be dismissed.

Then you have to wait while the investigation occurs. This can take weeks, months, years. During that time you live with the knowledge your rapist is most likely walking free. You fear for your security.

If a trial even takes place - and they usually don't get that far - you have to recount the details all over again to a whole new group of strangers with no guarantee of being believed. You'll be cross-examined and questioned.

Reporting rape and dealing with the consequences is hard.

Going online and telling a sympathetic audience about your experience is easier. There's no being probed, no having to go over the details again and again. Nobody is physically examining you and taking photos and swabs of your vagina. It can be cathartic to write about your experiences, especially when doing so gains you emotional support.

So yeah, I can understand why a person would open up about rape online when they never reported it.

However, I think few actually do. Most rape victims keep it to themselves until they can either get past the trauma to some degree or until they break down.

Writing about your admitted hate-fucking and calling it rape is pretty insulting to actual sexual assault victims, but it's youtube-related sex drama so I'd expect nothing less.

To add insult to injury, often they don't even bother processing the rape kits after someone goes through all that humiliation, a number in the hundreds of thousands, according to the feds. When these actually are processed, they often do identify previously unidentified rapists. Some of these things have been sitting around since the 80s.

I don't disagree with your post. Often a woman wants to punish a man by destroying his reputation more than anything else. In this case this girl wants to destroy Tobuscus's reputation and not prosecute him.

I think the biggest clue she most likely isn't just a victim who would be more comfortable writing about the incident online than telling the authorities and going through that is that her audience is tumblr, home of racistsgettingfired and other mob vigilantism stuff.

When I first read the Tumblr post in question, I confused Toboscus for Tosh.0.

He Responded.
I don't particular care for the guy, but I don't believe he actually did it.

Honestly im not really too sure of what to make of that video, the whole verge of tears on camera setup hes got goin on doesnt really seem too genuine. If the allegations weren't true, honestly I feel like he would come across as a lot more exasperated, than crying at being called a rapist.

I should've thought my post out more. Apologies. Because I see all the multiple videos against him yet this video where he seems like he was crying and not bullshitting with anything. Or maybe he could've done and is regretting his descion. Even though I don't view it as that likely. But I don't know much, and I'm not content on listening to one side of the story that's filled with holes. Might want to sit back and wait this one out.
