Smoked some meth with @Smutley , and now we're going to go shoot stuff in the woods. We only have one flashlight, but he has some glow sticks so we should be okay.
Requested to do a showcase at a small art gallery next month. A painting series I've been working on for the past year is getting published in a limited edition run, as well. So I've been working on the details of that.
Today I figured out that I'm allergic to my toothpaste. My lips are raw and scabby and the inside of my mouth feels like I burned it and it's been healing for a few days. Like, the reaction was mild enough that it took a while for me to realize what was happening, but today I'm hurting pretty bad and I'm not sure why it got so much worse overnight.
I feel really stupid for taking this long to figure it out, but it never once occurred to me that toothpaste would be something I'd ever be allergic to.
I got home pretty late after a long ass day and decided to get out the laser pointer and play with my cats. I'm busy lasering them and dont realize that my dog was creeping up behind me, also intent on going after the Red Dot. A cat and my dog lunged for it at the same time coming from opposite directions, resulting in a kind of Hadron Collider for animals. I'm surprised my little r.etards didn't manage to knock each other out.
At work I got a tiny speck of this extra-strength drain cleaner called Clobber in my left eye.
My eye started to really burn and I was like, "Oh boy, this isn't good". I ran some water from the drinking fountain on it though and eventually it felt better. It's fine now, but thank the lord it was only a tiny speck or my left eye could have melted.
So today I decided that my children and I would move a stack of old roof tiles I've been saving for a garden project. As we did so we talked about the wildlife that had made its home in between the tiles, rather unfortunately it involved demolishing an ant colony that was fairly well established and I like ants so that made me a little sad. There were also three ridge tiles next to the stack which we moved last. Under the third was a tightly woven ball of grass which I assumed was a mouse nest. Excited that maybe we would see a mouse my children and I leaned closer, our faces inches away. I gently began to open the nest (resolving that if there were babies the tile could be replaced and left for a few weeks) and glimpse the cute furry creatures inside.
I had my second day at my new job. It is the most boring thing I have ever gotten paid to do in my life. Still, it's also the easiest job I've ever had. I'm thinking about doing one of those freelance app things (not sure which yet) for like ten hours a week; maybe more after all of these municipal elections in August.
I also spoke to a client's volunteer coordinator (his brother...), and I basically had to teach him about how to be a volunteer coordinator, so now I'm drinking.
Had some coffee, did some laundry and the dishes, mopped the floors throughout the house, fed the dog, made some terrible life choices, went for a walk to contemplate the fallout from terrible life choices, got caught in the rain but it wasn't that bad so I carried on, made some chilli and watched tv for an hour or so.
