Got rid of two stressy problems today, in the shape of major repairs to my garden shed, and the demolition of another.
Feels good to deal with this kind of crap that plays on your mind day after day...
 
Today, I'm going to drink excessive amounts of craft beer with friends. No word yet on whether or not we're going to pay an old hipster movie critic to join us.

Today I participated in an ISO 27001 audit. This made me wish to kill myself but it is a penance all security staff must pay at some point if they work for a half decent organisation. I then talked shit for about two hours with one of my colleagues about Warhammer 40,000, specifically the finer points of highlighting, washing and detail work. It was a fun conversation but I understand not to everyone's taste. I came home and tried some of his techniques, some are awesome, one of them sucks balls and wasted a ton of Nuln Oil ink wash which annoyed me. Then my wife and I enjoyed an hour or so of lovemaking and now, because I'm not tired I'm writing this boring and long winded forum post.

I finally finished transferring approx 36 hours of VHS tapes my uncle has to digital.

Took about 4 months doing it when I had free time.

I've tried learning some songs on the piano and guitar. I got the beginning of Blue Öyster Cult's Burnin' for You on guitar, and I've got the piano part minus the solo for Evil Woman on ELO down. I forgot how frustrating but fun it is to just sit down and try to learn to play songs.

I ran into Mal-Wart and bought a new pair of "tactical" black steel toed boots, which I can wear both for working and Organization XIII cosplaying. Also in the same run I got a few packs of Magic cards and some deck protector things.
 
I helped my mom in cleaning out the garage. Really, it's nice to get that out of the way, even if I might get allergies from any dust.
 
Went back to my church for the first time in several months. The way they did their services changed slightly, but it was nice. I always feel good about myself every time I go.

I went driving for the second time in a week today. The first time I drove was on Tuesday and I was really nervous. Still, my teacher said my technique was actually pretty on point, save for the obvious bout of terrible nerves, caused by not driving for a couple years before that moment.
Today, I went down the same road with my mom, and I really felt pretty comfortable! I won't be truly at ease for awhile, probably, but I'm really looking forward to setting up my next lesson now!

Today I started a new Pathfinder campaign. My best friend's half-orc monk nearly threw my bard through a stone wall out of frustration.

This is what happens when a lawful good character has to work with a chaotic neutral character.
 
I just got back from the gym. I've been working out the past half a week and have been eating pretty clean for a week and I'm surprised with how much progress I'm making with my weight loss. I was around 220 lbs last week and now I'm down to around 210. I'm not even starving myself, I cut down on carbs, started eating more proteins and fats, and it's made a noticeable difference in how I feel.

I overslept till 1:30 pm today because I spent all day yesterday shopping at Mall of America with my sister. Oh and my replacement copy of 999 came in the mail (I gave away my original copy a couple years ago... Bad idea).
 
Normally I hate the corkboard at the Five Guys in the Baltimore inner harbor (mostly because it's full of MLP crap), but today I saw something that really made me laugh:
