Today I have... Thread.

One of my neighbors (a woman in her 60's, maybe 70's, im not 100% sure), needed me to walk her dog while she was out today. I did it a lot last year and most of this year (she's a school teacher) and she liked the work I did for her so she called me over the phone last night to give me the details and to tell me that she recently changed the code to her garage (which was the normal way I entered her house).
Me: "Ok, what's the code?"
Neighbor: "69690"

Today the parental units, my brother and his family, and myself went out to dinner for my niece's birthday. She's still in single figures but she's firmly of the opinion that she's grown up and mature, and has resolutely banned all toys from her presence. I can't remember when she grew so tall, and clever, and beautiful. I'm misting up a little here; she's my favourite niece. (I know I shouldn't have favourites, but still.)

Just before the spider on my fucking face I started getting some pain in my diaphragm but I ignored it. Figured it would go away with time.

Did it fuck.

Felt like I was getting stabbed just under my right boob. Got bad enough I was crying. Ended up heading to A&E (ER for Muricans) midnight on Monday. Ended up getting admitted into hospital for the first time in my life (cried a bit cause I'm a fucking wuss when it comes to hospitals) with gallstones!! Would've had it whipped out but I couldn't cause of reason. Got home yesterday and ended up sleeping 12 solid hours which felt good after sleeping like ass in the hospital. My gallbladder still hurts but it's bearable now.

Went to a community pool and went swimming for the first time in years. Was kinda nice to swim again but fucking hell were there a lot of jungle bunnies at the pool. Guess that joke about them not knowing how to swim was a myth after all.

I know that the UK system is fucked up, but if you can, try to get your gallbladder taken out soon as. I ended up with acute pancreatitis because of gallstones. It was indescribable agony. Get rid of that thing, you don't actually need it and it's a ticking time bomb.

Today I was up until 5am watching movies with other fine kiwis for Movie Night. Then I went to bed and slept until 5pm. Right now I'm contemplating attending Movie Night again or else just getting a good night's sleep. Could go either way at this stage.

Today, I confirmed that 99% of my students are morons. I've said before that some people just shouldn't go to college, and this experience has reinforced that opinion.

A (most likely) stray cat was chilling on my balcony when I got home. I managed to convince it to sit in my lap while I petted it and drank whiskey.

I also bought a new TV today; just a Vizio, so nothing fancy. Still, I like it so far. My only issues are that the UI is worse than my old Roku TV, and it doesn't have a few of the larger free streaming services (Roku Channel and IMDb TV in particular, although I almost never watch those, and they're also available on other devices). I'm also a bit annoyed that, for whatever reason, there's no audio when I dock my Nintendo Switch and connect it to the TV, so I need to figure out what's up with that.

Today me old mum and I went to a shopping centre and did a spot of shopping. I didn't find anything I was looking for, but I did end up with a pair of rainbow coloured shoes. They're extremely pretty, very unlike anything I've ever worn before, and I'm not quite sure what possessed me.

Today I have decided that next month I’ll finally get into crypto after doing almost a year of research. If I lose money, then I’m an idiot for trusting it. If I gain money, then hey, I guess this could be fun.

Today, I had to get a new drill. The old one's charger burned out and I learned that the particular brand/model is notorious for not lasting long and being Chinese junk, So, I bought a DeWalt drill and I like it much better already.

Today, I have also removed the surface rust on my muffler and finished up some client work that should make the coming week less hectic.
