I noticed 5 of those videos we're in Dose of Buckley's "Worst Songs of 2022" list, be it the list proper or honorable mentions. I wonder what's come out this year to make up the best list.

One of the ones I recognize is Heat Waves and I really like that one. Other one is ABCDEFU which is a fucking atrocity. Maybe I'd recognize the Ed Sheeran song if I heard it with that non-lyrical title

I only just realized I typed "Ed Sheeran" when I meant Harry Styles. So I found the music video and:

1. I've never heard this song before

2. Didn't listen closely to the lyrics but the video is basically the male version of Bon Appetit by Katy Pery but with bonus gross seafood prep noises. Didn't watch the whole thing.

Also realized I have heard that Victoria's Secret song while Christmas shopping. Congrats little zoom zoom, you just figured this out now? What, do you want a medal?

I counted 5 "white ppl, amirite" bits, including the entire Meghan Trainor section as 1. Interesting that Todd said Lizzo is sexy tho, that's some uhhhhh insight but whatever floats his boat. He's mentioned Adina Howard being hot before too. But the only interesting part was at the very end:

Every year he whines on social media about how hard it is making the Worst list and the last few years he actually sounded mad in the videos so if he'd be less of a miserable bastard by only doing the Best list, so be it. And he has so many imitators on YouTube now that it makes sense to do something different. To break my own Todd habit (which has been going about as well as Todd quitting Twitter and that is to say, poorly), I watched the Worst lists by ADoseofBuckley (fine, I guess) and Mr96, who is an overt Todd dickrider but with zero charm. Fantano is 100% pure shit, 0/10 too soy for life.

Ideally Todd could do something more like Wendigoon, covering whatever subject he wants as his interests move him. At this point, he's got the audience and paypig consistency to get away with it rather than strictly adhering to the 3 show structure (TW, OHW, PSR). As the top 10 bus video showed, it's not the subject but the presentation that matters here. Let the review monkey roam free.

You say that Fantano is pure shit, but he seems to put out "best of lists" every other day. Surely it isnt that hard to review billboards top hits of x year. I haven't seen the video yet (probably won't) but why is he considering quitting making lists? He doesnt even do other lists anymore (Apart from that 90s busses list), only current chart lists.

I think he's said because they're a pain in the ass to make. He also had this to say on Patreon:

These are always the hardest videos of the year (and they happen during the most stressful time of year!). If you want to know why, it's because I have to pick ten songs and for some of them I haven't really thought about them except "I really like this one" or "I don't really like this one." There's always a couple of them in there! But I think this one's coming along a little quicker than last year's, which was a bit of a tortured process.
