Todd is on summer vacation. While Lindsay is in England on a family trip/book tour, he's on a road trip.

Not surprised that a Breadtuber who hates black voters would play defense for Drakes' pedo allegations.
Defense? I think it was said earlier ITT that any defense for Drake was just pity because Kendrick Lamar was kicking his ass so hard. I don’t think Todd is really on Drake’s side. He even had the end of his beef video read “Drake is owned by Kendrick Lamar”.

Also, how much you wanna bet that Todd is going to put “Not Like Us” at #1 on his Best Songs of 2024 list?

He's mentioned Chappell Roan favorably a few times on Twitter and assiduously avoided doing a PSR on her. Either Good Luck Babe or Hot To Go have a good shot at #1 IMO for something fun and catchy with Implications but less impact o n the discourse. He's been hot on Sabrina Carpenter for the last few too.

Interesting. As for PSRs, I’m not sure if that’s an indicator of things. He did a review on Closer by The Chainsmokers, and was #1 on his Best Songs of 2016 list.

So it’s a guy that’s been in I don’t know how many memes and a routine Billboard chart topper with disposable junk (and hasn’t really dominated the scene in I don’t know how long, despite the hits) vs the thinking man’s rapper that’s got an army of stans apparently. Was anybody really surprised with how this turned out?

Drake/Kendrick feels like a coordinated sales push rather than organic hate. Kendrick's initial response to a throwaway line was so over the top it was comical.
I know this is Kiwifarms and I don't expect dudes to be into mainstream music and Hip Hop deeply but from reading forums threads from hip hop sites and listening to dudes that are in the scene, the Kendrick vs Drake beef is so cathartic but requires so much context. Its like seeing thrash metal coming out on top over those fags from the sunset strip as the objectively superior metal genre. Hell, the comment about being shocked that k.dot has a massive fanbase isnt that different than Ozzy being shocked about Metallica's niche dominance in in 86.

Lil Bill, probably one of the few (if not only) breadtubers I tune in did a better job talking about this since he's an actual loyal oldhead from the 90s.

The term WMD may not be used as often by mainstream media but it is still very much used by government agencies and the entire defense industry. Todd just lives in a bubble where STEM classes are a myth (except Mr. Lindsay) and he doesn't know anyone even tertiarily connected to CBRNE/military work.

You'd think Todd was a woman with as much fucking yapping about nothing as he does.

Shut the fuck up!
When I signed up for Todd's Patreon years ago (shut up, I got better), the onboarding thank you message ended with "xoxo Todd". What grownass straight man uses xoxo? If he doesn't have Elisa, Hope or some other flavor of the week handling his non-Twitter socials, I would be surprised.

Todd's troon cohost on Song vs. Song is going on hiatus while he gets FFS.

He's also chimping out at John Walker Flynt, but that probably belongs in John's thread, so I'll save that for later.

Todd did retweet Dany's comment, so that makes it somewhat applicable

And no amount of "feminization" surgery is gonna unfuck this tranny. That said, I do hope he's not going to Kathy Rumer. No one deserves that.

Todd must be having a field day with the Kendrick Super Bowl Halftime Show announcement, as this is the only thing he has even cared about this year (and the bane of my existence).

Predictable as always.
I said it before and I’ll say it again: Todd is acting like Kendrick Lamar has turned into this generational rapper that’ll go on to be super influential, with “Not Like Us” being this mega smash that’ll win so many awards, and that everyone will realize that Kendrick Lamar is more than just “THE DRAKE KILLER”…

…but in reality, all Kendrick did was use his raps to say the same thing Drake’s haters have said for years (not as hood as he claims, he has a stranglehold that is detrimental to the industry, his entire career has been nothing but connections and being in the right place at the right time, and his interactions with people younger than him should be looked into by authorities).

Also, I think it’s been said that nobody thought Drake was going to “win” this feud, along with me and maybe somebody else ITT saying the whole saga was nowhere near what was going on in the 90s (and maybe the 2000s) with their rap feuds.

Basically, Todd is going nuts over a guy who went after somebody who basically has a flashing sign over him saying “PLEASE MAKE FUN OF ME”, which Kendrick did.

But again, that’s probably just me never bothering to actually listen to Kendrick Lamar, so my analysis might be meaningless.

Kendrick is this generation's Bob Dylan, a guy with a terrible voice and decent lyrics whose popularity can only be appreciated within the zeitgeist of his particular timeframe but is a touch bewildering in hindsight. Kendrick has a Pulitzer and Dylan has a Nobel prize (was awarded anyway, don't recall if he actually accepted it), so both are appealing to the elitists as the intellectual's choice in their respective genres. But Drake vs Kendrick is no Tupac vs Suge Knight or whateverthefuck, it's just a popularity contest that Drake lost and won't be remembered next year, much less decades from now. Hopefully football and European soccer season starting up will distract Todd from this stupid shit. :optimistic:

100% agree with the past two posts. I've listened to Kendrick's whole discography last year and it didn't exactly blow me away, either. While the lyrics were pretty good, I don't think it was super innovative like I've heard other people say it was. Definitely not #1 on RYM or AOTY or whatever.
I hope it gets forgotten next year, like the whole Eminem/MGK beef from 2018 that everyone couldn't stop talking about. (Interesting that Em ended up getting a Halftime show in a way, too...)
