-Ice Cube vs the rest of NWA

There might be more, but those are the ones I remember there being bad blood and what I’ve heard are legendary diss tracks (if you’re into that sort of thing.

100% agree with the past two posts. I've listened to Kendrick's whole discography last year and it didn't exactly blow me away, either. While the lyrics were pretty good, I don't think it was super innovative like I've heard other people say it was. Definitely not #1 on RYM or AOTY or whatever.
I hope it gets forgotten next year, like the whole Eminem/MGK beef from 2018 that everyone couldn't stop talking about. (Interesting that Em ended up getting a Halftime show in a way, too...)

Like I said, Todd is basically all in on Kendrick Lamar, and I can only assume he believes the Super Bowl halftime show will be continuing to teabag and disrespect Drake in what Todd will probably call another level of haterdom that might go to another plane of existence (even if @frap might disagree), while also showing he’s more than a rap beef champion, and probably get people to start appreciating “the thinking man’s rapper”.

He's lazy, complacent and rapidly aging out of relevant opinions on modern pop music. Any genuinely hot takes would put his Patreon at risk because cishet males (half-Vietnamese or no) are given no quarter in the audience he has cultivated. He can go fully nostalgic/educational like Trainwreckords but that's an inherently limited pool, start a new show but again, lazy, or just keep coasting on comfortable inertia. Todd has a remarkably consistent Patreon and has for years; look at the 5 year graph:

It barely fluctuates! There's usually an uptick for the January Best/Worst videos, but otherwise his income has an standard deviation to envy. So if you're just preaching to the choir, who will continue to throw money at you per content regardless of the quality, why try? Refitting existing content to audio-only on Spotify is the biggest advance he's made in years, and that's LESS effort. The Somerton callout video had no long-term effect either way. Todd is just burned out and in stasis because it pays the rent in Glendale and keeps him in toys for Amydog and Taylor Swift tickets.
