And how would he cover Third Eye Blind? They weren't one hit wonders, nor did they have a trainwreckord.

Weren't they? I sort of presumed Semi-Charmed Life was their only hit, but I wasn't alive in the nineties so uh yknow. If that's the case, I'd like to change my vote to those Canadian guys who made Steal My Sunshine.

They also had Never Let You Go and Jumper. He has been ranting a lot about the Canadian Hall of Fame and Bryan Adams lately on Twitter, so maybe Len has a shot.

Say what you will about Todd's shift towards millennial faux-activism but god damn if it isn't lucrative. If there's anyone with both the poor financial sense and disposable income to blow four weeks' rent on a One Hit Wonderland video, it's chronically online leftists.

Surely he's covered most of the interesting ones by now, anyway? I'm still waiting on a Third Eye Blind episode but otherwise nothing really springs to mind.
I’m not sure if my mind is playing tricks on me or not, but I think several years ago, Todd talked about doing a book on OHW, and even mentioned doing research for it.

Whether or not he’s still doing that, or if he even actually planned to do it, that info is something I can’t find so don’t quote me.

If Todd really did a OHW book, I’d buy it, assuming nobody beats him to it. Seems like an interesting enough topic.

. Cult of Personality by Living Colour is the perfect OHW to let him get his political finger-wagging out about the election while also discussing a good song by an unusual band.
Don’t forget also being CM Punk’s best known entrance music.

There's a whole lot of OHWs that he's probably started and shelved because there wasn't much of anything interesting to say about the music or the artist. That said, some of the better OHWs like Pepper or Your Woman came from suggestions instead of his own volition. I have a list of ones I'd like to see, though as he moves more towards curmudgeonly, sanctimonious wokescold instead of quality infotainer, that desire gets tempered. Leftists like Todd do NOT like Cult of Personality once they understand the meaning behind the lyrics.

And yet, insufferable leftist CM Punk still comes out to it.
I’m pretty sure a lot of his first WWE run was being some kind of messiah calling himself the Second City Saint and saying “straight edge means I’m better than you”. Remember the Straight Edge Society?

If Todd doesn’t mention CM Punk when covering this group, I think I’d think a little less of him as a music critic.

CM Punk isn't a leftist. He is a sociopathic manipulator that will wear any skin and say anything so long as he thinks it will benefit him personally. He is a carny among carnies that figured out years before anyone else that dysgenic losers latch onto ideologies and has been working the gimmick his whole life just to grift the marks.

Cult of Personality is literally the perfect CM Punk entrance music because it explains exactly what he is doing, and his fans are too stupid to get it.

I don't want to derail this thread too much more than I already have, but that sounds a lot like a leftist to me...

them not being a one hit wonder never stopped him from covering the proclaimers

I'd rather a brief 12 minute video (like he used to do back in the TGWTG days) about some now-obscure song that none of his filthy millennial/zoomnigger audience has ever heard of over a 30 minute dissertation about how some song from 15 years ago was racist or an album by some dipshit all his audience hate that was released twelve picoseconds ago kinda sucked. But that's not what his audience (or he) wants to cover so he won't bother.

As an example "Telstar" by the Tornados was a number one hit; the first ever by a British band, written by a homo who murder-suicided his landlady after being taken to court for plagiarism (which was thrown out) and was the first ever electronic music hit. Plus it was based on a satellite's launch over the backdrop over the Space Race. He could shit an episode about it easily in half a week, but I suppose he spends most of his spare time masturbating to photos of circa 2011 Lindsay and stabbing a specially commisioned dakimakura of her soyboy now-husband so it's too much to ask for.

Lucky for you, we have a wrestling thread.

Maybe Todd only knew the one song. Or the song’s Family Guy cutaway. There’s also the chance that Somebody showed him this Doctor Who singalong given the circle he runs with.

Do you think he'd cover Temptation in order to pile on with the GTA stuff?

The Canadian OHW everyone was asking for:

ETA: oh my God, it's an actual funny, informative episode. Todd is completely on his game here and sounds like he is enjoying himself. The link will probably need reuploading once he figures out the 1.5 minutes of dead air between the Nebula plug (in which he doesn't mention Lindsay once?!) and the credits.

Yeah, and I didn't even know that it was by that guy and not Rascal Flatts, which TBF is also a one-hit wonder. In fact, now that I think about it, he could have covered the Rascal Flatts version, instead of the original, even if it was a Patreon request. Also poor doggie.

That's not Steal My Sunshine by Len.
Well this song is awesome, so hopefully you’ll like this one.

This song is pretty damn good, though the cover I can do without.

Also, I guess we have this guy to thank for this episode.

Says Todd was given a bunch of requests and he picked Tom Cochrane because it gave him a reason to talk about Canadian music and its industry.

They've been friends for a while. Todd was on his podcast, and he joined Lindsay on her book tour stop in Austin(?), TX.

I am pretty excited for this one though, not gonna lie. Still hope he covers Len in the future.

Sounds like that Todd’s circle of friends led to him making something I find interesting enough after the TWs with the guy who got a credit for “additional writing”.

Seems like every time Todd makes something absolute crap, he always seems to find a way to turn things around. What a skill to have.
