So on the last forum I asked why he was a tomgirl, tl;DR nobody is really sure but some theorize he's associating himself with a role that is usually cared after. Here's the new question:What does he see himself as, in this new Tomgirl state? I actually think it could be transsexualism, maybe not serious(very little about Chris is serious beyond the angle of his duck)...but transsexualism nonetheless. The tranny cutie mark, the stripping, the ladies room, it seems probable.

The principle of biodiversity dictates that some men are born with feminine tendencies and some women are born with masculine tendencies. This is explicitly seen in the more socially accepted butch/femme lesbian dynamic. Chris is an example of a femme, someone who doesn't want the sex change or even female identity, but rather wants to live as a male with feminine tendencies. Hence his use of the phrase "tomgirl" in comparison to "tomboy"; it actually fits him quite well.

The main problem is he doesn't do femme well because, well, he's not that bright. Normally, feminine males I've come across did things like pick nice clothes, do their hair, lose weight, and not act like caricatures of women that a 6 year old would parrot from cartoons. Chris thinks makeup is something you slap on because "girls do it", not as something to conceal your facial imperfections or add flair to things like your lips or eyes. Likewise, he thinks all girls wear skimpy skirts that don't fit their weight level, and just loves the color pink. When you really come to experience the difference between "femmes" and "creepy crossdressers", you realize femmes want nothing to do with pink because the creepy crossdressers overdo it way the hell too much.

I think that since he's become older he's found that his autism doesn't cause him to get as much special treatment anymore. Without it he no longer feels, well, special and it caused a hole in his life. Hadn't he also stopped doing Sonichu before the Tomgirl saga? He''s almost always felt threatened by men and has an affinity towards things girls would like. So I think the Tomgirl choice made sense to him whenever and however it was introduced so he ran with it.

He now does the bare minimum when it comes to being a Tomgirl. A hair accesory and a beaten up purse. It's a far cry from the days of complete make-up and miniskirts.

After watching alot of cheap cartoons, theres somethign I am surprised has not been brought up at all when it comes to discussing tomgirl-ism. And that is characters in drag.

A cheap punchline, to be sure, and one that I dont think Chris compleatly understands.

The reason many cartoon writers nowadays occasionally write a bit where a characters in drag is simply for the point of it being a very unfunny punchline, which thenforth makes it funny. Ok look, my point is that humor is very subjective here, and something that Chris does not quite understand. After all, there have been skits in family guy where Peter, for one reason or anouther, crossdresses. And yet quite possibly in Chris's mind the joke of making peter look gay does not cross his mind because to him, sexuality is something taken very seriously, and he cant be gay, I mean, he is happily married with a wife and kids!

So in short, I think part of what fed tomgirlism is the trope of characters being in drag. And it isnt compleatly limited to cartoons, the show M.A.S.H. had a character called Klinger (played by Jamie Farr) who wore a large stockpile of dresses in an attempt to be dubbed insane by the army and go on home. But Chris primarily watches cartoons and he loves family guy, so I am using that as the prime example.

that makes a very good point, maybe it's his idea of hiding from the trolls just like bugs bunny would dress up like a girl bunny in order to fool elmer fudd.

All things considered, Chris probably isn't really capable of understanding what transexualism entails, let alone what one has to do to become one. Really, even if he did really want to change his sex, and intended to do so after Barb passes, once he sees how much (gasp!) Work is involved, he'll back away in a jiffy. Besides, when has Chris ever been able to process anything on a deeper level?

Chris *is* a tomgirl, but he's the only one in the world so he's doomed to be alone.

He thinks he's become as hot as Marilyn Monroe.

Look how lazy he's gotten with the tomgirl stuff. He doesn't even brush his hair anymore. Forget makeup. It's just lady clothing and he thinks he's hot.

I definitely don't think he's trans. He still sees himself as a (STRAIGHT) male. As for his reason: I have no idea why he does it. I've heard that he thinks it attracts girls in some way, but I don't know if that's true.

^ Then he truly is a dumbass because his appearance freaks me the hell out.

I once thought that maybe since "Tomgirls" are considered rather attractive in pop culture and IRL, he thought that maybe the reverse works

Or maybe he thinks dressing like a lady will let him think like a lady, and thus finally understand how to get china

I've seen people just as crazy, passable and functional in the trans* community so yeah, it's likely.

I doubt it, but it is likely.
