Anybody in the Discord group have any more insight into what's going on between Tony and Jaybo IRL? After all this time, I'm still not entirely clear on what their IRL dynamic is like since we only get snippets of it on the show, but it does seem a little extreme of Jaybo to go to Tony's apartment and apparently try to choke an apology out of him in full view of Jaybo's wife. I know the two of them are on very familiar terms to the point that pretty much all of Jaybo's superficially meanspirited ball-breaking is taken in stride by Tony, but both of their reactions leading up to this shocking confrontation seem a little out of character for both of them.
I've always been of the opinion that Tony is, as Jaybo put it, a "loveable idiot", and I think it is a little too unbelievable that Tony has been intentionally leaving his microphone unmuted while taking his nasty shits as part of a conniving scheme in order to win some kind of sympathy from the listeners. Every time he shits on air, everyone just laughs at him, no one's feeling sorry about that. I've no doubt that he has a victim complex in some fashion and won't take accountability for his fuckups, but that thing about the on-air shits was just a weird accusation to make. He's probably just being his dumb boomer self and not knowing how to properly mute the microphone.
Regarding his supposed love of stirring up drama around him, he's such a clueless and gullible boomer that I've always wondered about his inability to tell apart obvious fake impersonators/characters from the real people. Some people like Tony Ferrar think he is intentionally playing dumb to stir up drama, but he's dumb enough that I think it might be for real.
If the show dies though, at least we still have Richard Burnish's "The Ark", which is basically the canon successor to Jesus Chatline.
