Half of me hated the THUG series because of how fucking silly and over the top it was and the other half of me loved it for those reasons.

No, because the new goals and levels they they created as a substitute are bad.
The game is only worth playing if you can scrounge a Gamepass trial (or one of those $1 deals if they still do that). Guaranteed you wont play it for more than a week.

Hold on, they didn't even port over the same exact quests as in the original?

There are original goals, but there's also new ones (and new levels). They also "tweaked" some of the old goals and made them unintuitive. Everything Iron Galaxy touched is bad.

Yeah I know I'm late, just ran across this video and remembered there's a thread here. THPS 1+2, looked good but it was fucking boring. Too simplistic, shit music, random nonsense added, but also the time of it has passed. There's no hanging out with friends passing controllers back and forth. There's no someone showing you a thing you didn't know or you figuring out a crazy line or something along those lines. I had honestly forgotten 3+4 had come out and this shit looks like an even more sterile version of 1+2 even ignoring the tranny skaters, guy with no legs, etc. all while ignoring the major improvements that 3 and 4 had to begin with.

Hell, out of curiosity I looked the tranny up. Decided they were a man in 2020. Hasn't competed professionally since and was only getting medals previously in women's categories. If this pooner were any good, where are the men's competition wins? Oh wait, they don't even bother competing. Why the fuck are they in the game for any reason other than being trans?

And then Iron Galaxy themselves? 60% are LGHDTV or a minority? No wonder there's masks and shit in these games now. 350 person game studio that doesn't make any money? And holy fuck the employee videos, web pages, the shitty audio in the audio guy's video? The guy couldn't even get his own mic sounding right?

And then only doing 2:00 runs, and no career mode? The soundtrack eliminating old tracks I get because licensing but of course they HAD to put trannies in.
