Stumbled upon this earlier in the week and found it a fun watch in a cringy way. The first half is with Guy Fieri but from 13:30 onwards, it focuses on Maynard with a short tour of his vineyard and food truck. He's clearly incredibly faggy about wine.

Shouldn't he be if he runs a vineyard?

My best friend and I came to the conclusion that if the new album sucks, Tool will be forever known as doop.

Had the chorus to Fear Inoculum start playing on my mental jukebox today, so I guess the track's growing on me. It's surprisingly fun to play on guitar, Jones is busting out some new chord shapes on this record compared to his past work.

If you check #toolband on Twitter looks like some guy's got his hands on the album early. I get the feeling the 7 track version will leak first. The wait will not be over yet.

Tool is a technically superb band with the most fucking pretentious content ever, that seems to loathe it's fanbase.

Puscifer's content is more "fun." Tool somehow comes across as cold and clinical. I've generally liked most of the content I've heard, though I'm not a fan as such.

BTW, The first two APC albums were amazing, but the third one sucked balls, and that seemed to be like the only shit he wanted to play at the APC concert I went to.

I saw APC twice. The first time in 1999 when they opened for NIN. That was awesome, because they only had the first album to play music from.

The second time about 11 years later, they sucked because they only played stuff from the 3rd album and they played some remix of 3 Libras that was so removed from the original I didn't even notice it was 3 Libras.

>why yes, I'm that guy who blasts tool constantly and smokes weed, how could you tell?

I saw a video of APC performing live on Jimmy Kimmel and I couldn't even watch the whole thing it was so depressing. Textbook definition of low energy. After the first two albums it feels like there's no reason for that group to exist. Mer De Noms released in fucking 2000! By 2004 they have 3 albums and a DVD, and then 9 years later they release a greatest hits? At least Tool has a massive cult following that's asking for releases. APC is just a bunch of Maynard fanboys. I did like Mer and Thirteenth Step, was Eat the Elephant good?

A friend of mine said it's a bit too political. Be nice if APC put out an album when a Democrat was in office.

*EDIT*

It's leaked boys. ;)

Album feels really aimless. At least it's not as shit as when Modest Mouse came back after 8 years to release the complete dumpster fire that was their last album.

Gotta say, I love that music is still the one piece of media that faggots on the internet can't spoil for me. There's no plot to give away, no twists, and no way for anyone to stop me from enjoying this thing I've literally waited 13 years for.

Feels nice.

I love the new single and can't wait for the album to drop. It may be dumb and gay to admit I enjoy tool after a joint on a Friday night at the end of a long work week but I'm not out to convince anyone to like what I like, the same way I like it. It's just great music and I am so glad there's more Tool to listen to after all their great stuff from the past.

Im just glad there's more Tool in current year, tbh

John Maynard dies at the end.

Then you're gonna love this one. It's classic Tool but it's probably the most chill album of their entire catalogue.

I guess I'm being nice not downloading the ripped version but the title track definitely feels "chill" and from what I've heard of the other tracks it's definitely coming across like more of a melodic album rather than a harder industrial sound like undertow.

Parts of Fear Inoculum felt like interludes and filler tracks on older albums but I loved those too as much as the harder tracks; just fantastic music overall. Glad to hear it's more of a soundscape to get lost in, kinda like a big jam albumn.
