I unironically love threads like this. Here are my ten (subject to change).

It's hard to have a truly definitive list and it certainly does change with time. At this time, if I had to narrow it down to just 10, with the first being my favorite and the rest in no real order...
-The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (Ocarina of Time is mandatory before)
-SaGa Frontier
-Resident Evil 1 Remake
-Monster Hunter World
-Runescape (circa 2006 and before, The Grand Exchange was the beginning of the end for this game's golden age)
-Demon's Souls
-The Sims 2
-RollerCoaster Tycoon 2
-Fallout 1
-GodHand
There are many other games that deserve to be on this list too, a lot of people in this thread have posted them.
 
The top 3 are pretty static; everything else can be in flux for whatever reason. Because sometimes I might forget about a game, then get a sudden urge while lots of memories come flooding back. But top 3, definite things I never forget about and always have undying love for.

Special mention to Silent Hill 2 and 4, Deus Ex, Mass Effect, Doom 1 and 3, GTA IV and Vice City, the Frogwares Sherlock Holmes and Lovecraft games, FEAR, Fallout 1 and 2 and New Vegas, and Prey (the Native American one). These others games I love but they have glaring flaws.
