It's too bad that the Kayla Rekieta thread languished and died after so much good work by @Not Who You Think
Kind of similar to what happened to the Drexel Yarbrough- Johnson thread.

A shared factor in both the Lady Rackets and Drex threads being slow is that both potential lolcows DFE and went offline underground when they began to feel the warmth of the KF spotlight starting to shine on them.

I'm still casually interested in the Balldoverse through orbiter threads like Lawtube and the occasional Elissa or Stallyn clip.

But somewhat ironically, the maturation of a solitary Nick Rekieta thread going from a Multimedia Off-Topic stan thread to a fullblown lolcow one eventually moved to the main Lolcow section, with further promotion to a full dedicated subforum and later demotion back to only a single thread that was impossible to keep up with.

The Balldo thread was the reason I started lurking and eventually joined the site. I used to exclusively be a Balldo thread reader.

I gave up on following the Rekieta thread around the Mandy DANdy catfishing reveal because the thread simply moved too quickly to follow in exhaustive detail. So it ended up that I preferred to be totally uninformed rather than partially up-to-speed.

There's definitely a duality to KF where the popular threads are too active to really feel in control of the deluge of information. Whereas pretty much every thread I'm actually interested in these days feels mostly slow, abandoned and unloved.

Thank you for your kind words, though I consider Kayla and Drexel's threads to be primarily for archival/informative purposes and not necessarily for engagement. Cautionary tales adjacent to one of KF's more (in)famous lolcows, Nick Rekieta, whose thread I expect most of the discussions to take place anyway. I am satisfied as long as the threads continue to exist and can be found by interested parties.

Kayla and Drexel have their share of lolcow traits, but the key ingredient for long-term engagement is if they are also fun to watch. It can be challenging to find the fun regarding Drexel or Kayla even if they were more active. If you've seen one Drexel stream you've seen them all in terms of "content". Kayla almost had an active YouTube channel talking about her experiences with miscarriages among other things, but that would have required effort on her part, so all we got were appearances on Nick's show, some lewds, and court documents.

There isn't much more to say about them at this point, and even Nick is less interesting now that he has settled into who he is. There isn't much fun about him outside of the jokes made at his expense, though Nick's thread has arguably always been more interesting than Nick himself.

Regarding Kayla and Drexel, the lessons learned are mostly already apparent, neither of them are likely to change as people, and I would be content to never hear from them ever again (though another harvest for the farms is always welcome).

Oddly enough, some compelling information about Drexel and Kayla was compiled even after they would take a hiatus from the Internet. The identity of Drexel's BDSM partner (whom he knew since she was a child) happened weeks after he nuked his Discord. Also, Kayla's retreat began while Nick's thread was still considered Multimedia (and people were hoping either Drexel or Kayla to pull Nick out of his degenerate spiral).

Kayla and Drexel likely still have more to hide, but there's already enough out there for reasonable people to start keeping their distance and be on guard around them (if they haven't already).
