Oh, and if you don't know how to use Tor, good, because you're not wanted.

Another decent platform is Rocket.Chat (for instant messaging and chatrooms similar to Discord). It's open source and cloud-based that lets you self-host your own servers. But if you use RC's mainserver they will ban you for posting edgy terrorist shit. But outside of that there are no rules. ISIS fucking uses it.

Hi! I'm on the dark web using Tor because Cloudflare wants to infringe upon my 1st Amendment rights to say "nigger" and"faggot tranny" on the clearnet!

Last time I consciously used Tor for any prolonged period of time was way back in high school when I wanted to check out if Silk Road was actually real. Yeah, I found out it was real alright but then it got seized like... 3 weeks later. That scared me away from Tor for a long ass time.

How can you not know how to use Tor? Just like...download it and put the address in.

Of course silk road was real, there have been a ton of rather large darknet markets since then too. Aside from very large sellers and the people running the sites, the feds never seem to have any interest when they take them down.

Personally I support the idea, especially since I'm pretty sure more prominent ones even ban the sale of stuff like child porn, it's basically just drugs, stolen shit, and counterfeit items, and sometimes guns. That way if someone's ever in a pinch and they really need a massive bag full of ketamine or exotic hallucinogens or a bunch of stolen credit card numbers or something, they can relax because they know it's always available.

TOR with the new open source DDOS protection is pretty fast, legitimately usable, nice one Jersh.
Josh can be a silly man at times, but his perseverence is honestly inspiring.

Read up on the story of what happened with Dread Pirate Roberts someday, the guy who ran Silk Road. He was a total retard, outright did admin shit on Silk Road in a public library with his screen facing outwards, something like that. It's pretty funny.

ngl that sounds either really based or really retarded. The whole internet should be TOR only. It'd make this website 90% obsolete

The fact that the site is still up after all the manufactured negative publicity and best efforts of kids DDOSing the site is a testament to how good modern Tor is for censorship avoidance. It could always be better, of course, but the site is very usable and fast-ish in it's current condition.

We should all appreciate Watkin's help, and maybe seek help / input from others than have had their voices de-platformed to work together on making platforms that are immune to censorship and de-platforming efforts.

No matter how many articles the friends of the transformers put up calling us "far right" or a "hate site", we will overcome. I don't hate anyone. I just want to be able to talk with like-minded people online.

The captcha on the login page has been erroring out a lot for me. It took a few tries over a couple hours to get in.
Probably the automated hacking attempts are screwing with it.

WAHHHH TOR IS TOO SLOW WAHHHHH! Configure a bridge you fucking retard. ISPs block Tor by default which is why they throttle your connection. If anything, bridge configuration should be a default. Also, add KF to your list of exceptions in disabling js. If you're on Android app, simply go to your settings, then security and set it to strict.

Is there any reason not to turn off Tor's "permanent private browsing" mode and allow password saving, if you don't expect the glowies to Kool-Aid-Man their way through your walls at any moment?

And for that matter, does it matter if you tweak about;config settings? I realize there's some value in keeping every Tor browser exactly the same so you can't pick one out from the crowd (roughly speaking) but I wonder how much leeway there is in this.

you can tweak and enable whatever you want if you are not doing anything illegal. the advice about leaving it stock applies more to criminals. there is a document available on dread (drug reddit onion site) called the DNM bible that has more information about this stuff if you are curious.

I don't know, but I completely disagree with Null about running to Tor as a "losing strategy". Mainly because Tor is not dead, the regular internet is. If you think about it, nobody uses forums, Usenet groups or RSS anymore. It's all apps. And with popular YouTubers all talking about the Deep Web, like SomeOrdinaryGamer and Takedownman, that's attracted a lot of zoomers to this platform. In fact, I have a younger brother who's in high school that told me about this Asian kid who would buy drugs through mail order off the dark web. So outreach is not a problem if that's where you're getting at. Many people use Tor, and you don't have to be a hacker with CS:GO skills just to use it. Tor is more like the 2006 internet, if anything.

I haven't used Tor seriously since high school, where I used it to pirate Half-Life and pass it around to my friends so we could play Half-Life deathmatch during class and get around the school webfilter.

Surprised how well Tor has been working the past week. It's a lot faster than I remember and has been more stable than the clearnet domains. If it wasn't for the Captcha, I'd probably use the Tor domain a lot more.

Newfag to Tor, any good mobile options? It works wonderfully on my desktop (faster than any of the rapidly disappearing domains), but the one phone app I tried doesn't get past the robot check. Not sure if this is just an issue because Tor on mobile is an affront to God, or if it's something buggy Jersh can fix.
