I love the United States, need to sate that clearly, quite a lot of hsitory military service in my family. I think I should mention some of the Redcoats were German mercenaries "Hessians" to be exact. The British government was taxing the colonies for the most expensive war in the history of the empire at the time being transatlantic and 400 years ago. The tax was noting compared to the rape the IRS commits daily. The "Boston tea party" as depicted in popular artwork is not represented accurately in the least. The emissaries to the British empire were reporting back "all is well in the colonies, my king" and rebel rousing sanctimoniously. I'm sorry but this is truth as best I understand it. Not to mention if it weren't for them the first constitutional amendments especially the 4th would not exist, as it was a direct response and reaction to their tactics waging a "guerrila war" against the Brittish empire. We revolted, meanwhile India a dozen others and the the Balkans remained property of the king for long long after July 4th 1776. I'd rather live in the UK than India.
