I didn't get totality in my area but it was really cool regardless. Had my self a spooky setup and everything. I'm really glad I got to experience it.

Didn't hit totality here but the clouds cleared and it was still cool. I forgot my cutting torch glasses at home but someone popped into my job with a pair of the silly paper ones just in time.

Just came back inside, took all of the kids outside to look at it, a neighbor noticed we didn't have glasses so she ran back inside and gave us some (We were going to do the colander method and a pinhole box) so they were able to ''sample'' a few different methods of viewing it. I thought it was kind of mid compared to other ones I've witnessed because it's pretty cloudy, but we still got some great moments which were more than sufficient to get the kids excited, so I'm fielding a lot of great questions after they've processed what they saw a bit more. I love how easily their minds are blown, we had been talking about eclipses for a few days but as soon as they witnessed it, they were in complete awe and forgot literally everything we had talked about. Really sweet.
Hope everyone gets to see it and has a fun experience with it!

Was lucky enough to be in the middle of the path of totality, no clouds. Got totality for about 3 or 4 minutes. Was absolutely crazy, looked like dusk

Fucking alog clouds, at least you could tell when to look because it became absurdly bright. You could say the eclipse was lit...do kids still say that?

For all the Kiwis that missed it, I risked my eyesight handling a phone awkwardly with special glasses and messing with exposure settings so you didn't have to.

so, you know, my eclipse is eclipsed by HEAVY CLOUD COVER, GOD FUCKING DAMMIT THIS IS THE SECOND ECLIPSE I'VE MISSED

edit: there was a break in the clouds, rushed outside and saw a partial eclipse. now i feel complete.

I've never seen a total eclipse before. That was literally the coolest thing I've ever seen in my life and it was so eerie for the five minutes or so that it was completely dark outside. Surreal experience
