Western Touhou community honestly is the worst, I genuinely do not get it, I just want to enjoy my games and other media without the massive faggotry they seem to display.

When they're not being assblasted degenerate faggots, they can at certain times create some genuinely good things. Such as Luna Nights, a metroidvania Touhou game

But that's the exception and not the standard. Most Touhou fan creations are devised in eastern communities, whilst the westerners regularly produce windows paint tier shipping "art" and think their favourite character has the same batch of mental grievances as them.

Barely anything in the Western Circle Scene is worth it in my opinion, but as you said there are exceptions like Luna Nights (Which was pretty great, I'd recommend it to anyone reading), the Eastern Circles are the actual creative powerhouses of the community as a whole, with music Circles especially being my thing.

As a slight aside, has anyone looked into the new mystery dungeon game by Aqua Style, Touhou Genso Wanderer -Foresight-? Doesn't seem like a lot of people are talking about it and the reviews are mixed on Steam.

Genso Wanderer Reloaded is pretty good, Lotus Labyrinth is okay (Has a focus on having more party members at once and is a Tenshi & Sanae centric story) and I've heard that Foresight isn't as good as either of them.

If we are talking games tho, I'd recommend Artificial Dream in Arcadia (It's like SMT and you play as Sumireko), pretty decent and stylised RPG experience. Also Mystia's Izakaya also is pretty fun, I'd highly recommend that as well.

I got Reloaded on Switch so I should have all the DLCs; trying to conquer that Mysterious Dungeon with 99 floors

It was a joke TBH. A good few members of the forums, Null included, are the whole "lolicons are pedophiles" crowd while there are others that are against this assumption and believe its just something said to make them feel bad and also get police an excuse to arrest someone they don't like. Evidence for both standing points do exists, however, but neutral opinions are just...not allowed on certain issues it seems. I'm more neutral but am a bit more on the latter

Luna Nights devs aren't western, where'd you get that idea?

ADiA is about the only 'successful' Touhou fangame I can think of that's from a non-asian developer. Most other game dev from the western community is either a gay game jam or meme garbage.

I solely went off of a assumption since the dev team is called "Team Ladybug". Couldn't find much information about them, hence that. But i still agree with your sentiment about western productions. Funnily enough i thought ADiA wasn't made by a western dev, but i appreciate the clarification
