Trace a IP address

IP addresses don't work like that. Only dummies think they do.

IP addresses belong to an ISP. Any IP owned by that ISP will trace to their office, not to the residential domicile to whom the IP is leased to.

ISPs can figure out who held an IP during a specific time, but they will almost never relinquish that information to non-police. You'd have to socially engineer it out of them.

If you really want to learn how to trace an IP address of a specific user from a website, you're going to have to download some starter hacking tools. If you're using a Windows computer, most of the tools that will help you do this are blocked by specific applications that are pre-installed and always running in the background. The only way you'll even be able to install the tools you need to run an IP trace is if you get rid of them. Luckily, they're all kept in a specific folder. If you delete System32 it'll stop it.

That's such an awesome trick and I can't believe Microsoft hasn't fixed it after all these years. They used to call me "IP Man" in high school because I always knew everyones IP.

I'm trying to find how to do one to a member on here. If I find out who it is. Just going to block him on Facebook. And ignore him if I see him. But I doubt I will cross paths with him. Just want to be sure I'm right before I do it.

You start by deleting the SYSTEM32 folder, put there by Microsoft to prevent people from hacking stuff.

I don't need the exact location. Just the general area.
