There is an incredible number of furs yet undiscovered in the wilds of social media. Furs, diaperfurs, bronies, otherkin and zoophiles, they are all degenerates who have a place for discussion on this board. A question frequently asked is "how do I locate new cows?" This is a guide outlining several methods you can use in order to locate fresh fur and how to successfully build a thread focused on these people.
A Guy You Know
The tried and true method is to reflect back on your days as a fur online and think about who really stuck out as a weirdo and why. Think up about three or four traits that made them exceptional among the exceptional and then search their social media, sum it all up, and do a thread. If you aren't sure about whether or not they're worth doing a thread on, then post them in the personal lolcows: furry edition or furry general thread. If other people seem to think they're fun to talk about, then report your post and say you want it moved out into its own thread. Just as simple as that.
A Friend of a Friend
While all furries are lolcows, some furs are more suited for discussion than others. Interestingly, the most interesting of cows will usually be friends with one another, or at least have some sort of association or orbit. The Rat King is a good example of this, but there are plenty of other examples in the furry kingdom. There's Foxler, Artie, Furred Reich, Scorch & Kahuki and Husky Jack. Striker and Zachy, etc. So when you see a gigantic lolcow furry, check them out a bit deeper and see who they associate with. They could be best friends with an even bigger cow.
Habitat of Hilarity
Just as furry lolcows may travel in packs, furry lolcows may develop an entire community based around what makes them exceptional. They can have an entire social network, website or group on a social media platform. These communities themselves are lol echochambers that can be a tipping point for people on the borderline, dragging the cow out of them. These communities re worthy of discussion and can be surveyed for furry lolcows. Foxler has his Furry Raiders altfur gang. There is the Babyfur.me website. FurAffinity, Weasyl, InkBunny, etc. aren't necessarily the communities we are talking about here, those are relatively mainstream; however, furry lolcows can be found quite frequently and will have profiles on those platforms.
Social Media Survey
Set up a fake twitter or facebook (I highly recommend twitter). Add a bunch of furries. Most of them will be relatively boring. your timeline will become a way to sift through the autism. Just scroll through and scan posts. When you find something interesting, check the profile further. You'll be surprised at how many slapfights, saltsprays, butthurt, embarrassing powerlevels. cringy art pieces, disgusting nudes and degenerate admissions you will find from these people by doing that. Any accounts marked "AD" (After Dark), add them. A few babyfurs that I have yet to document, "Samantha Potts" and "Sammy Rainbow Cat" I found by doing this. It's a fun way to passively observe and you'll stumble upon some funny shit.
From Gossip to Giggles
There is other social media that can be useful. While Vivisector is now gone, there are tumblr, twitter and facebook pages as well as blogs that discuss the latest gossip in the furry community. They will collect "receipts" (screencaps, images and archives of incriminating information) and post them to embarrass people for their shame and fuckery. A classic example of this is FuFu. A lot of Roketsune-Tayferret dramu was documented on there. Gather information on the drama and then dig a little deeper because this gossip is smoke and typically there will be a trail of fire behind it. Fuckery doesn't happen in a vacuum and someone engaged in it will typically be engaged in a lot of other shitty/funny/generally salient behavior.
Promoting Talent
We also have some furs who are talked about in other threads who could be considered interesting to talk about. We have a fur general and personal furry lolcow thread, as well as almost 100 other threads. Some of the people we are introduced to in these threads may be worthy of more extensive discussion. If so, you can ask for posts discussing them to be moved out and made into an OP or you can craft an OP yourself.
So Now What?
Now that you have a furry and a foundation, it's time to dig. You have some idea about why they are funny, or you may even completely know. Regardless, you need to gather evidence of them being a tard because they are the content, not the narrative you craft. So how do we gather content?
1. Google-fu
From that first social media profile where you discovered this potential cow you got a username (possibly links to a few other profiles/usernames/real name) Take this information and google it. The first few pages will generally have all their social media, and the rest will be aggregator trash, but sometimes you can find something good there. Just open everything up as a new tab and scan each tab to see if its empty, trash or someone unrelated. Repeat this for all the usernames you got on them and their real name if you have it. Also, check sites like babyfur.me, fetlife and f-list that don't show up in google searches. Archive all of their profiles for posterity.
2. Scan, Cap, Archive
Begin scanning these profiles and using the website's search engine to find examples of them being a furry lolcow. If they are a lolcow, this won't be hard. If they're not a cow, just a weirdo, this may be difficult and to find funny shit will take time. In this case, you may want to just throw them in a general thread. Everything that you find that is funny, cap it. If possible archive it. Cows will delete their shit.
3. Drop it
Make your thread. Start with a few sentences introing the cow. Then break down the reasons and give proof with your caps and archives. You shouldn't have to say too much in any instance. The cow does the talking in the evidence you collected. End your thread with the list of their social media links and archives.
