I work, and like most of the country, have no time for stocks:

I won't grow up

See, this kid has it all figured out. I should've stopped getting old a long time ago.

they were the ones born most close to the boomers and were smart enough to put most of their savings into Property rather then Stonks

Too many people in here quoting ancient Rome shit can't even be assed to remember what happened to all the boomers in 2008 that invested in nothing but property in the early 2000s.

So basically the only ones that are gonna get fucked up the ass with tariffs are the cucknadians, mexichangos and assorted central american niggers, everybody else just keeps trading with the chinks
The USA is already redefining its relationship with South America in real time, and everyone is asleep at the switch about it. El Salvador has become the gold standard of law and order in North America, while Argentina's reforms under Javier Milie has put that country at the forefront of the western hemisphere's economic policy. As for Panama, well they were told they either kick the Chicoms out, or Uncle Sam will stick a boot so far up their ass they will see the Colombian flag being pushed out their mouth.

America isn't turning inwards as the Euros claim. Its turning back towards the America's, its seat of power. The 21st century is not going to be defined by the fate of Asia or Africa, at least as far as the USA is concerned. The 21st century is all about North and South America, and their fate. And the fate of the Americas is honestly something that has been ignored for too long. What will Canada and Greenland (Greenland is in North America, Denmark, fuck you) be? Will Bukele not just restore order to El Salvador, will he take up the cause of the Central American Republic and do a full "Map Game" formable nation quest? With US Support? Will Argentina reclaim its crown as one of the most explosive growing GDP's in the world? Will the USA reclaim its mantle as the arsenal of democracy? Against the perfidy of Europe and Asia.

I say it again. The 20th Century is OVER.

It's why I have faith Trump can do this
I'm of the view you don't even need to clasp your hands with this regard. I expressed a tincture of awe at the speed Trump has moved over these past few months, which compared to the snail's pace of my government is practically light speed. People are arriving at what the inevitable conclusion to this whole endeavour will be within the first week of it happening, and I don't really think there's a precedent quite equal in scope and ramification that make whatever you come up with be an absolute idea, for both good and ill. I think the benefits of Trump's plan (assuming they manifest) won't truly be seen for quite some time, assuming that the companies drag their feet in bringing manufacturing back to the states.

There's a whole laundry list of knock-on effects both good and bad I can think of. One is that companies will have to pay the import costs of bringing in a particular resource needed to manufacture their completed product if it isn't available locally, leaving them with the burden of another cost and the burden of a higher price for the consumer (potentially). On the other hand, a business might fill the new niche of providing a local source for said resource; TSMC building a chip factory on US soil might help to make the local production of electronics easier, even if there's an entire list of materials I'm almost certainly missing which may also require import. Turtles all the way down. It'll be an absolute pain the arse but I don't think it'll bring about an American dystopia.

I also see some muttering about the EU, which as of now is seems poised to respond aggressively, however there's some cracks on the issue of tariffs. Italy, who replaced the UK as its 3rd largest contributor, is aiming to work out their own deal with America separate from the rest (their prime minister is visiting the USA on the 17th). The UK also pretty much kowtows to whatever America wants so Starmer has called this whole affair 'the end of globalism' and is happy to play along. Whilst not Europe, Australia is also game and joined the UK and Italy in being cordial to the tariffs. I think the politicians will ultimately go with whatever is easiest, which'll be to put on a brave face but ultimately go along with Trump's plans. Germany, for example, was similar to France in desiring some sort of military presence in Ukraine to deter Russia but quickly abandoned the idea when they realised it would actually mean committing their troops to the idea. In a choice between butting heads with America and going along with whatever America wants but whining the entire time, they'll probably pick the latter. Macron, however, has an unmatched ego (yes, even when Trump is on he playing board) will have him blustering for as long as possible before consneeding.

I think all of this will blow over in 1-3 months.

is where all my money is atm. Land
When the economy tanks land is going to take a nosedive, I know people here who bought houses and apartments in miami in 2008 for nothing, 1/5 the value from 2007
Argentina's reforms under Javier Milie has put that country at the forefront of the western hemisphere's economic policy
Bro where you think Im writing from? yes Milei is best buds with Trump but hes not gonna piss off the chinks for him, since Milei its all about free trade, so unless you guys can absorb the shitton of stuff we are selling to the chinks, which would be twice of what you are buying now, then I dont think hes gonna go for it

And el salvador is still a poor shithole, 7% of our (ARG) GDP, vs yours I think it wont even register

Like somebody else said this should happened 20 years ago the chinks would be dead, but shit has changed

I apologise in advance if I'm being retarded, my understanding of this subject isn't the best, but I think China gets a bit fucked too potentially if their worst-case scenario comes. If you notice after America and Hong Kong, the largest receiver of their exports is Vietnam. The plurality of Chinese exports to their neighbour are integrated circuits, which goes into the electronics which make up the bulk of Vietnam's exports to the USA — who is also their largest export market. If electronic manufacturers move from Vietnam elsewhere as a result of tariffs, China's biggest export to Vietnam goes up in smoke since the buyers have vanished. Despite having fingers in a lot of pies, they're rather small, not very valuable pies. China's largest partners are its neighbours and the USA — the latter which represents half a trillion dollars on its own. A lot of the world might rely on China for knickknacks, but in terms of raw value China relies on a few markets which depend on them entirely for their own tech industries. And that was just one example.

That map is also quite off. A lot of Europe is mostly self-contained, trading with one another. France receives less exports from China than it does Germany, for example.

What's the EU going to do to the United States they basically completely rely on us for defense See vassal states need to know the place and that's under the boot heel of Uncle Sam so all the euro poy should start polishing the American boots like good little pay pigs

The entire network of China's economic potential is also reliant on the enforcement of the US Navy to maintain the trade nodes, as well as pass through too permissive ports such as Singapore, Suez, Panama and so on. China has always expected a showdown with the USA over this network for years now. Their problem is its happening NOW. It was supposed to happen after all the bugs were worked out of the Chinese Navies blue water fleet. The USA going into retrenchment and belligerence was an inevitable outcome of the global trade policy. One that was accounted for...but not NOW.

China has been building up towards the hard power control of the global shipping lanes necessary to either challenge the USA or ideally, peacefully replace them. But this was supposed too happen at least a decade from now. Ideally two decades from now in 2050. Instead its happening in 2025, and China is not ready but they are committed to the bit even as the USA doesn't even escalate slowly. Its going full blast of crashing the global economy with no survivors, and its taking China with it.

I largely agree with your posts and appreciate your insight. This is the first I've heard about Bukele having plans beyond El Salvador and I'm curious to know more. I don't even disagree because it seems like Trump and Tucker Carlson have been building up this guy for something more. Do you have anymore insight on this or reading you could please link me to? I am genuinely curious; not just some Reddit "Sources? Sources?" tard.

How much money is Trump going to spend bailing out victims of the tariffs ?

Remember the bank bailout that people are still mad about to this day, want to know how much money they got ?16 billion which was loans they had to pay back and they have since paid it back with interest so it has made the tax payer money.

Want to know how much money spent bailing out tariff victims ? 8 billion dollars to bail out companies hurt by the tariff war. By the way this was all direct cash payouts no loans or interest. He had to bypass congress to do this btw which tarp did not.

Wut, China can't deal with somalis with guns without the USN's supermight?

Wait what? Just mount a machine gun on that container ship. Modern pirates use tiny dingies that make age of sail pirate ships look powerful by comparison.

I would pay to see that, like a super barge of pirates using containers as a floating small-city

But it would probably be sunk by one torpedo or just a low-yield drone missile, which might be why they use the dinghies lol

The majority of chink ships hardly float and those Somali pirates carry artillery, not just guns. It'll be a funny sight to see but not in the way you're hoping

Slightly more expensive American products for the dutch, it really aint a big deal for me.
Our agriculture is strong enough to us not to starve and thats really the most important to me.
People do be complaining that the entertainment industry is going to get a severe hit, and probably will, but nigga, just pirate games and movies.
You can live as free as you want if you are not a total retard.

This is not only a new approach to economic policy but a very good move at destabilizing Europe. Trump has effectively thrown chum into a den of sharks and is letting them squabble. We have known for a while that Europe is tentative, and since Brexit, Italy is trying to leave as they hate the politics and Muslims. The UK will always side with the US in economic policies that benefit it. There are power grabs in Europe currently between France and Germany, but both are economically worse off than the UK.

The Muslim friendly governments in Europe are dependent upon the US support.

We need the good old "Q ship" trick back. Take a huge freight ship but secretly outfit it to fight real ships. Like the German Hanse did back in the middle ages. When pirates became uppity they designed a new ship class that looked like Kogge tradeships but hid batteries of guns behind the wooden exterior. Or maybe even like the German Kriegsmarine did in WW2 (though those ships were not sucessful in engaging real warships)
