Their cheap as dirt wine is great, and the reds are perfect for making mulled wine. For some basic table wine, you can hyperdecant a bottle and it tastes just fine.

I like Trader Joe's for their curry sauces (I'm too lazy to make it myself sometimes), and their snack crackers and stuff.

I don't know how other cities' locations are, but the ones here are bar none the best place to get flowers. Go drop a couple bucks on a dozen roses and you're guaranteed to get at least a blowjob later on.

Sadly, the nearest Trader Joe's to me is two hours away, although rumors keep swirling. I make a point to go to one if I'm going out of town, and my most recent trip yielded some candied lemon slices, literally whole lemon circles peel and all, soaked in sugar water and dried out again, leaving a dried lemon disc that tastes like lemon juice and sugar. Delicious.

I'll drink their powdered chai and eat dem hoisin pork buns til the sun burns out.

When I lived in Mega-City One there was a TJ's across the street from my apartment so I basically lived off of their sushi and frozen meals. There was a regular grocery store on the same block, but the prices were set to anal rape while TJ's (also Whole Foods, surprisingly) were much cheaper. Now that I am a responsible adult I only go to TJ's once or twice a year for some special things I can't get elsewhere. Particularly their umami powder, dijon mustard, and smoked trout.

I bought a small bag of Hawaiian Coffee at Trader Joe's for 14 bucks. Some of the best coffee I ever had. Good shit.

Aldi foods is Trader Joe's. The more you know!
Aldi's are complete niggers about not having bags and not bagging even if you brought your own, are Trader Joe's the same? Who ever heard of paying cashiers more to do less?

Aldi's is absolutely brutal on controlling costs. That's why they don't bag shit, and that's why they have the coin deposit for carts (get people to return it themselves instead of hiring cart wranglers).

On the plus side, this means that Aldi's can compete on price way harder than other stores. If you care that much about bagging etc, go somewhere else and pay for it.

I think this is a seasonal product but it's one of my favorite things there.

A professor of mine told me that "Two Buck Chuck" is so cheap due to a revenge situation relating to the owner's divorce. I don't know if this is true but it's tasty gossip (and wine).
Anyway, try the White Cheddar Popcorn because it's the best bagged popcorn of this type that I have ever tasted.

They also have these Parmesan Crisps that my Nana introduced to me because she liked to serve them during Happy Hour.

They used to have a really nice Beef Stroganoff, but my store doesn't carry it anymore.

Their frozen quiches are good.

The Pizza Margarita is one of my favorite frozen pizzas.

They have a gluten-free cranberry granola that's good for breakfast.

their parent company has enough power to get realy good prices. they have like 10 different wines around 2€ in germany, from all over the world.

I like their free samples and sushi. Especially dipping it in the dynamite sauce tres-magnific.

I used to frequent the TJ back in the day because they had some good yogurt but the store is further than the other ones in my area and why go all the way there when there's decent stores in walking distance?
Seriously, they had some great yogurt and I loved their jarred cherries.

I almost always use grocery bags for my garbage bags, because I'm a cheapskate. Trader Joe's has these fantastic papers bags that stand up by themselves. Fucking love them for trash. I keep one set up in my office as a trash can for paper and the like.

They have good chile mac and cheese there, I also like the ice cream sandwiches they got

My sister and I came to the conclusion that, believe it or not, the gluten-free mac and cheese was the best kind they have, although their chile mac is a close second.

We have their frozen foods an embarrassing amount of times per week, but we're well past the point of caring.

How has nobody mentioned one of the best parts of Trader Joe's yet?

Namely that they randomly change the branding i.e. "culturally appropriate" ethnic names for various ethnic foods.

Off the top of my head:

Chinese food is "Trader Ming's."

(BTW: This shit is pretty good, like 2.5 meals worth of chicken for 5 bucks.)

Mexican food is "Trader José's."

Italian stuff is "Trader Giotto's."

And Japanese stuff is "Trader Joe-San."

Sort of. Charles Shaw was a legit winemaker in Napa who lost his company in a divorce (wife and her rich family were the backers and forced him out.) The company went into trusteeship and the Trustee sold the name to Franzia (aka box wine guy). He slapped the label on bottles of his cheap and fast wine and distributed to TJs.
