No real purpose to the thread other than posting trains people like.

Just a train autism thread for people who want to post or shitpost about trains or post trains they like.

Im a big fan of the General electric rolling stock and the freight lines.

Anyways here's a Siemens charger, 2 amtrak P42, and 2 GEs I can't remember what exactly they are.

I rate your post autistic, but in a positive way.

Anyway, one time I found myself in the cursed land known as N*w J*rsey and decided to check out the retired ALP-44s that they have stored on the Lackawanna Cutoff. I'm not gonna post the pictures I took here since I have posted them elsewhere online and don't want to dox myself so instead here's a pic I stole from railpictures.net taken from almost the same angle.

Interesting to see so much unused rolling stock that's just been sitting there for over a decade and hasn't been scrapped.

I hate how trains are neglected in America we should be building more commuter rail networks. It should be easier to get to Cleveland to cinncinatti by train.
Its the one place you can be just as productive as you are in the office.

Theres an entire youtube channel under the name

Francis Bourgeois

dude posts himself trainspotting all the time, and having so much glee and joy everytime a train pass

Enjoy.

EDIT: Uploaded video not working, so i linked video instead.

They would just be filled with niggers and homeless people.
I dunno i ride the Tex rail and most commuter rail is pretty cozy it tends to be subways and your light rail lines that are nasty. Commuter rail tends to be like $10 from Baltimore to DC or $12 from dallas to Denton.
Plus you have attendants kick off any crazy homeless person.
Ones for getting white people and tourists from the airport to their suburban familes

I will be honest and say that the only public rail systems I have extensive experience with are the Detroit DPM and the Detroit Qline, so my experiences are less than desirable.

We got a bunch of trains not too far from where I live, and some of them go up into the mountains (Colorado if you're curious).
Not an expert on trains but I found this to show someone, thought it was real nice, and wanted to share it.

Nigga, I'm perfectly productive at home, which is where I work from because I'm not a little bitch who had to cower to inane, profit-focused RTO policies.

Further, you're such a workaholic that, instead of enjoying a train ride, you're emphasizing the ability to work more during non-work hours.

Sounds like you need to worry less about train pix and more about time management.

Keep in mind that it doesn't really matter how hard you work; the corporate grinder is blind to your accomplishments. What matters is who you know, not what you know. You know?

Trains have tables, I like the idea of being able to have a cup of coffee or tea and talk to random strangers while riding across the country. I could also game on the train and stretch my legs out bs a bus or plane.
Lastly working from home only makes sense with remote work and honestly that sounds like a crummy job i like dealing with people and challenges you want to be a lazy laptop classer who ends up being the most rootless of cosmopolitan.

Electric trains don’t get the recognition I feel they deserve. Here’s some stats: 265 tons, 31,000 volts, 800 amps (or 25 million watts), 26,000 horsepower.

I like the old steam locomotives. One that is still running today is the Union Pacific FEF-3 #844. Built in 1944, it still does excursion service, mostly out west. Loco and tender combined weight is 453 tons, and it generates 4850 hp. Top speed of 120 mph.

I have a Kato N-Gauge model of it.

I was a huge fan of Thomas the Tank Engine as a little kid and had a ton of those toy trains and tracks you could build into whatever path you wanted. My dad even made molds of the track pieces so he could make me infinite tracks. This one was my favorite toy train:

I had a train-themed birthday at a train museum. But past that I never had any train autism. I recently rewatched some Thomas & Friends and, my goodness, I forgot how much DRAMA there is. I remembered it being cozy and peaceful, but no, it’s like train reality TV. Catty-ass trains all out to get each other. And Sir Topham Hatt is a slave driver. It’s very entertaining.
