i had a cousin who told me years ago that he was in a relationship for a few months with somebody who was 27. cousin was 15 and a high school sophomore at the time. he told me he thought it was ok because this person told him he was very mature for his age. if you can't see why that's wrong, then you're being ignorant on purpose
 
I think people who have suffered from adults who "loved" them and told themselves that kids can consent would disagree strongly with your disgusting views, Chain.

You can try to pretend there's biology and brain development to help with your "opinion" all you want. The world and common sense disagree. Seeing how much your mentality hurts and permanently scars innocent victims when it comes into play says otherwise.

Damn straight; moreover, let's consider why survivors of childhood sexual assault will often say things like this. Abusers will tell their victims how they are special and remarkably mature, seek to convince the child that they have consented to a ‘relationship’ with the offender, or even persuade them that they initiated the relationship in the first place.

This is how offenders shift the blame from themselves and onto the child. Victims will often readily shoulder the blame for their own abuse; it is often easier to accept responsibility for something that isn't one's fault than it is to admit that the world is random and terrifying.

@Chained Divinity , your claim that survivor narratives "sort of provide external evidence" for your pedophile apologia is a deeply revolting example of circular reasoning. You're really, really gross.

So you honestly think that ideas from your own biased point of view and a handful of anecdotes are worth more than actual mass amounts of physical evidence? Damn, this ain't even an RP forum and I'm seeing the god complex. Trust me. You really want to shut up now because you're in a much worse spot than the guy who said he had the hots for dogs. He at least had the decency to disclaim his point as well as stop talking.

Chiming in here to add that my mother left her home at aged 17 and immediately met a man 11 years her senior whom she started a relationship with because he claimed she was very mature and strong-willed for her age. It did not end well.

A 28-year old should not be dating someone who cannot even vote. There is no real experience there to know what's right or wrong. Emotionally, physically and mentally the person is still growing and an adult can easily take advantage of the other.

There is all kinds of trauma that children suffer from underage sex on all spectrums; physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual.

My wife is a teacher. When she was in college she taught in an after school program where there were two sisters who were victims of incest/child molestation. The older of the sisters was obviously over sexualized for a nine year old and it affected her so severely that she thought children having sex was normal. She would try to get other students to engage in sexual acts. The younger sister had regressed to an almost infantile state. She was afraid of any male adult, would wet herself frequently when upset, suck her thumb, and had difficulty walking for months because of the damage done to her physically. It was one of the most heart breaking, soul shattering things I ever witnessed, aside from my own struggles with being raped when I was a child. Molesting children damages them, sometimes in irreparable ways. You take away their ability to trust, you take away their innocence, and you damage their ability to have normal, happy, healthy relationships for their whole lives. Only a monster would try to justify, or participate, in the slaughter of a child's innocence.

My father was a Corrections Officer and many of his inmates and parolees were child molesters. Pedophiles are broken people. They literally do not think, feel, or function like normal human people do. They are monsters in every sense of the word and are among the most evil, vile type of people I can think of. If I had my way pedophilia would be punishable by a mandatory death sentence. No wasting tax payer money on housing them, feeding them, or attempted rehabilitation. Rehab RARELY works for pedophiles because their brains aren't wired correctly. They are inhuman.

I feel almost the same way about people who want sex with animals. Neither zoophilia or pedophilia are kinks, fetishes, or sexual orientations. They are perversions and mental disorders.

Word of advice: if you've got some socially unacceptable sexual desire like wanting to fuck kids or screw pooches, KEEP IT TO YOUR FUCKING SELF! You are NOT among like-minded or understanding/sympathetic people here. You are among people who recognize that these are unhealthy, disgusting perversions and WILL fucking call you out on it.

I've seen all the physical evidence people throw out there already. I explained why the neurobiology argument is a shit argument. I've seen studies on the aftermath and they're generally poorly done--for instance, they don't bother to control for other things causing the trauma, such as physical abuse.

So, quick question about the bolded:

How did this damage her ability to trust? None of her behaviours seem like trust has been reduced.

That she's pursuing sexual relationships is only "Bad" here because of the age of the people she's pursuing. Trying to engage in sexual acts with other children...actually fuck, I don't even know if that's something only a victim of pedophilia would do, but regardless, it's not dysfunctional for teenagers to do it. Why is it dysfunctional for kids, other than the fact that you think it's icky?

That's 50% of your examples, already. Not to mention teenagers, who might very well be in a different category mentally, are also in the "below age of consent" group.

I am sorry about what happened to you, though. As I said in an earlier post, nonconsensual sex is possible with all age groups, and it's fucked up when it happens. For what it's worth, my entire career trajectory in the future will involve preventing rapists from committing the act.

As a slight thought here: If they are indeed inhuman, why do so many of them work to repress their urges? Why do I see people who have the urge, but don't act on it? If they were simply inhuman monsters, they wouldn't ever feel opposed to their inhuman and monstrous urges, in the way many of them actually are.

So that's something to keep in mind, even if you don't accept my view on it.
