What I find amusing about this vignette is that the only characters that don't fetishise or misgender her are straight men.

Hey folks!!! I am 25 (mtf) and I have been trying to dress more feminine in casual scenarios. My job is very hard to dress feminine in since it requires wearing work clothes. Anyways, my go to outfit recently has been a plaid skater skirt, fishnet tights, doc martens, and a my chemical romance baby tee. Everybody I know has told me I look super cute and/or adorable, which is what I was going for. Just got off the phone with my mum and she told me although she doesn’t really like the “goth style”, I dress more emo/punk, but she said I dress like a 14-year-old girl and not a 25-year-old woman. Any advice to age up my outfits? I want to still be noticeably alt but also not look like a kid.

EDIT: just to clarify since I think my phrasing sucks. I don’t wear this outfit to work. I wear carpentry or HVAC pants and T-shirts I don’t care get trashed. This was an outfit I wear to go out and hangout with friends or go on dates in. Sorry for the confusion
Bonus: Not actually trans as far as I can tell, but a genderspecial and don’t they usually consider themself trans anyways

It kind of sucks when you’re off the Amtrak tracks though cause then freight can actually sidetrack passenger trains and you can end up waiting a while to get moving again. This happens to me when I take Amtrak south of DC. Never really minded it tho because the views of cotton fields and tobacco are pleasant and the cafe car sells beer, wine, and spirits. (This on the Carolinian from NYC to Charlotte.)

At least originally "impostor syndrome" meant feeling like an impostor when you are not.
Such as deep down you still feel like a child while acting adult.
A typical "normal" neurosis.

Does not apply to troons.

I don't have an original take on this, Its obviously because they are trying to transition to the teenage girls or porn actresses they fetishise like the gross pedos they are, we all know this. What I do want to say is that by dressing like this, I think they are peaking normies. So though its super creepy, I wholeheartedly support it.

I've seen a 50 year old man in the wild dressed like a hooker with a bad wig, my face automatically made a disgusted expression before I looked away, moved on, and sighed in relief that I was in a very public place where he couldn't go off on me. They probably get these reactions 50 times a day, and its always the evil transphobes problem, not an issue with the way they are presenting.

Their echo chambers are all the same so no one points out how age inappropriate it is and they jump through mental hoops to justify their choices of apparel rather than take on board the feedback they receive.

They dress like whomever their fetish brain imprinted on. This is usually a particular girl from their childhood or a "type" of woman from porn. Perhaps even what is considered glamorous by the then current celebrity zeitgeist. This is way a lot of them have style choices that are behind the current era. They think they pass because they're deep in their fetish and their narcissism and roleplaying is blinding them to the truth--they project this same blindness on to other trannies because that's part of the groupthink. It has nothing to do with being autists.

You really have to remember that this is all roleplay. Their behaviors and thought patterns are in service to that. Some of them get roped into it because they're gullible autistics, it's true. But that's not where the behavior itself comes from.

IKR, you get imposter syndrome when you entertain doubts like "Am I qualified to do my job?" When you are, but others suspect you aren't cause you're younger or female or your ethnic group is underrepresented or whatever.
If you are actually pretending to be something you're not, like a man dressed up like a woman taking estrogen and whatnot that's just being an impostor.
